This show is exactly like House Hunters - but focused on Hawaii and shows you that you don't need millions to live in Hawaii.. its fun to watch the different areas/islands and the agents are well informed and helpful to their clients which is nice to see.
Love this series. Now if I can figure out how school teachers and other regular folks can afford to buy $500,000+ homes I will move to Hawaii too. After watching this series I went to Hawaii on vacation and visited four islands, and while on Maui sitting on my VRBO condo lanai I could see a Hawaii Life home for sale with the sign out front and amazingly one of the agents from the series showed up and opened the gate area and I could see him making prep work, then 30 mins later a client showed up and he showed the property. Although it is somewhat of a reality show, the brokerage is real and I saw firsthand one of the agents putting in some effort to make things right before a showing. If I move to Hawaii I will probably contact them to help me find a home.
I'm really enjoying this show. It introduces you to a variety of areas on each of the main islands. They do a good job of showcasing the beaches, mountains, etc... around the neighborhoods. If you're considering moving to Hawaii, or just want a more in-depth intro the the islands, I'd recommend this show.
There are 323 days of sunshine and good weather in Colorado! That leaves 42 days of cold/bad weather. Please stay in Hawaii and don't comeback. The uninformed real estate agent mentioned 40 degrees below zero weather in Colorado. Whatever.
