Weighing in at about a half pound, this lightweight jacket can be easily stashed in a pack or your luggage so you can take an extra insulating layer with you on a backpacking trip or while traveling. The jacket's quick-drying, high-loft polyester insulation offers as much warmth as down, and is especially well-suited to more humid or wet environments, where down tends to get and stay wet and lose its insulating properties. The jacket is treated with a DWR finish so if it starts to drizzle or snow, moisture will bead off rather than penetrate the shell fabric. The rugged nylon ripstop shell fabric holds up under hard use so you'll be able to enjoy the jacket's insulating comfort for many cold-weather seasons.
