I thought when Grissom left and the parade of replacements started that was it, but then it finally after several mistarts came to rest on the shoulders of Ted Danson, the magic was back. Now they could have done without Elizabeth Shue, but it is in most cases back to it's glory days.Recommended

You'd think after fourteen years, two spin-offs, a host of imitators and numerous cast changes, CSI would be a played out hand by now. Living on past glories. Cruising on auto-pilot until the expense of making it outweighs the revenue it brings. Just a bunch of actors, writers and producers spinning the wheels of the gravy-train and playing on audience's emotional momentum.

You'd be wrong.

The 14th Season of CSI is like a bag of movie-theater popcorn: buttery, oversalted, greasy...and freaking delicious. With only a few members of the original cast left, it retains a great deal of the charisma it originally had when it rightfully swept to the top of the ratings heap in its first season. It opens with a resolution to the cliffhanger which ended Season 13 ("The Devil and D.B. Russel"), and after clearing that up, begins the usual yearlong sojourn into the investigation of brutal murders, twisted motives and head-scratching disappearances. Some of the best episodes:

"Torch Song" -- the CSI team investigates an arson that left a musical venue burnt to the ground, four people dead, and a huge list of suspects behind.

"Last Supper" -- A cynical-amusing take on murder at a reality game show that looks suspiciously like "Top Chef."

"Frame by Frame" - Kathryn Willows returns in flashbacks for the show's 300th episode.

"Check In and Check Out" -- this episode, about mysterious death occurring in a sleazy motel, was strongly reminiscent of the Grissom years.

This is the FOURTEENTH season!? Can you believe it? I am blown away by how creative the stories still are - I especially like the "frame by frame" episode ending - where we get to see flashes of some of the crazier things that happened on the show over the years. I admit I was pretty skeptical about having "Sam" (from Cheers) leading my favorite CSI team, but D.B. has little resemblance to the IQ deficient Sam character. I also found the "torch song" episode hilarious during the scene where D.B. is interviewing the club owner, Stu, played by John Ratzenberger aka "Cliff Claven". Both actors stay in character - but you just KNOW that between scenes they are hamming it up! Anyway - this season is one of the best ever... IMHO

With out a doubt glad to see her face back on the screen. I can DEFINITELY see a take off from this episode of CSI: Dark Cyber (lol). as the last comment she makes at .03 per account, per week for x amount of time in the millions. You dont think 3 cents amounts to much but wow what a mess that would be. There is a lot of it out there and we hear about it everyday in the news or someone we know has been hit. Would definitely be a good series to start and just maybe we can pick up at least one tip a month to secure ourselves.
SO CBS please move forward in this area. Was an awesome show April 30

I'm still addicted, even after all these years. And Ted Danson and Elisabeth Shue, they are true perfection! I love that Jorja Fox is back and CSI would NOT be CSI without George Eads. Actually, I love them all, David and Doc Roberts, and Eric Szmanda as Greg! I even like Elisabeth Harnois, if only they'd make her as tough as she had been from the first season she arrived on set. What is with the makeup?!! She looks as out of place as a sore thumb. Please give her a make-up remover and a ponytail holder so she can get back to work. I love the friendship that continues to develop between all the characters. And that the writers keep coming up with new and bizarre story lines, it's amazing. Love, love and still LOVE CSI! Grissom would be oh, so proud!

It's not the CSI I love...the new characters just don't do it for me. And it seems a little like some of the same stories and gadgets just tweaked a bit to update them. But I still found it enjoyable enough to watch. However, I must say, without Grissom it will never be as good.

Cross over episode introducing CSI-Cyber. Good intro for the new character played by Patricia Arquette.
Shows how they plan to make the new series more than just watching data fly by on screens.
Better than I thought it would be.

Csi Is a good show and not cause I live here. Actors are superb but the writers or creators could get the streets correct like sahara and Charleston don't cross.
Also people don't diss Vegas until u have been experienced it.
I could trash many stAtes but don't until I been there
