I have essie, crabtree and Evelyn, Milani, and even Sally's other nail lines, like gel and x-treme wear. This is by far my favorite formula, brush, and price combo, ever. The reason I hated painting my nails was because I never had the time, and I would always mess them up before they could dry. Then, a friend lent me a bottle of Insta Dry, in "rose run", and I loved it so much I went searching for my own bottle of this line.
This gray is very beautiful, very neutral, and has a almost blue-lavender undertone. It looks like the clay you'd fine on a riverbank in the summer.
I paint my nails while I do my homework, and I found that it worked perfectly with this polish. You know that moment when you bump your nail into something and you hold your breath, looking for damage? Well that happened to me about 2min into wearing this, and it was already hardened. I was so impressed.
Because I haven't had it long, I dont know how long it will last in the bottle. I will update it when it finally dries up.
Also, one coat will be enough, but two coats makes it look even prettier (in my opinion)
nice shine, and the brush is amazing, Totally worth every penny you spend on this polish, and I'm replacing all my other nail polishes.
This dark grey / blue is a great fall / winter color.
I'm in LOVE with Sally Hansen insta-dri line. This is the only brand I buy now. As a new mom, painting your toenails is kind of a rare luxury, therefore, I place a high value on getting this business done quickly... and this polish allows me to do it, fast, with no sacrifice in durability.
Note: it dries so quickly because it's volitale... allowing it to harden faster... so it should be used in well ventilated areas
I highly recommend this polish for busy adults.
Would work great for parents to use on kids, who want their nails polished, but can't sit still for long. :)
Great color. Fast drying. The only thing I don't like about this nail polish is the wand. It collects way too much polish. And since the wand is flat and the bottle opening is round, you can't wipe off the excess polish easily. You just have to be fast. I mostly use it for my dog, and it is FAR SUPERIOR TO NAIL POLISHES MARKETED FOR DOGS! Her pedicure lasts weeks.
Love the color and coverage of this polish. I don't like taking a lot of time to paint my nails and ALWAYS manage to smudge even when I'm super careful and wait a long time for drying. With this glittery, fast drying formula, smudges and chips simply don't show when they do occur (which is very rarely - by the time I reach the pinky, the thumb is already dry). Also, a quick retouch every few days works to make nails look newly painted. Since it's a fast drying fun color that doesn't show mess ups, it's great for the little toes and fingers of my 2 and 7 year olds, too. I bought two to make sure I stay stocked for a long time after my current bottle runs dry.
It truly is fast drying, so that is nice. You have to practice a couple times before you really get it down. You have to be fast and make sure you don't get too much on the brush. Unfortunately though it chips off my fingernails really fast. I keep it around though and usually just use it on my toes.
I have an issue because I am rough on my hands and I can't sit still for any length of time to let regular nail polish actually dry. Any nail polish that I've found so far is going to chip fast. Enter Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail polish line. It definitely dries before I get a chance to ruin it, but the color doesn't last long. In fact, it may even be a little bit shorter than normal nail polish. It claims to only need one coat, but you definitely want to do a second coat. (I have tried it both ways and it lasts longer than both coats.) I now use the Insta-Dri line more than I do my other nail polishes because of the quick drying factor. I have purchased several polishes from this line and generally like them all. It would get 5 stars if it would stay a little longer.
I love the color and this polish does dry very fast. Those two things I really like. Now comes the but. It does not last! It chips with in hours. I have not had this product stay on for even 24 hours with out over half your nails having big chips and peel off. I tried a top coat also which made no difference. If the polish would stay on at least a day or two I would buy it again. But no matter how fast it dries and pretty the color I won't ever buy it again because I do not enjoy spending the time doing my nails and then having them look like crap and having to waste more time to re do them with different polish.
All you need is one coat since it does apply on thick. The problem with this product is that it does NOT last long. It chips and peel by the end of the day. Even within a few hours. I wash my hands a lot and this clear polish will crack and peel away. I then have to use nail polish remover to get rid of the nail polish so that my finger nails don't look all jacked up. Worst polish ever. Dislike! I don NOt recommend purchasing this item.
