Great Buy!!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2015I bought these due to the fact I have two HDDs and I didn't have enough cables from the case to put them both in, plus the DVD drive. They work perfectly for what I have, just that now I have too many to use.
They're nice fittings, popped right in no problem, didn't break or anything even after having to move the HDDs around a few times and disconnect and reconnect things a few times... nice and sturdy to hold up to being zip tied for wire management. All and all, great product for the price.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2016I bought a functionality and it works.
It doesn't matter to me but I know some of the buyers may care, so I'm posting my review. As far as looks of the cable goes, what is pictured in advertisement and what actually arrived are not the same. Pictured, the shell of the connector is red, colored the same as the cable, the actual mating part is black, and locking tab is black. What arrived, cable is red but the connector and the casing is a one-piece molded black, and the locking tab is bare stainless steel.
So if you have an instance where color of this product is critical, such as if you are building a PC for exhibition or an open case installation, you may not get what you thought.
I wanted something inexpensive and functional. I got that. So the my rating for the product is 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2014I purchased these to go with the Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5" 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal Solid State Drive CT256MX100SSD1 that I just purchased, as well as for some other drives. These cables are good quality and the locking mechanism keeps the cables in place. They were red, not pink like they appear in the current photo.
If you have a large case and use cable management, these cables may not be long enough. There are a few drive locations in my Corsair Carbide Series White 500R Mid Tower Computer Case (CC-9011013-WW) where these cables would not be long enough to connect to my motherboard, route through the back where the cable management is, and back out to the front to the drives near the top of the case. Just something to keep in mind if you have a large case or use cable management.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2019It's cables not sure what to say, they were delivered on time. Worked as advertised. I'd buy again but 5 is plenty for what I need. Length and quality of the cables are more than adaquate.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2014Pic shows metal retainers on the cable ends, but they come as molded-in, thin plastic retainers. They retain though and so far data transfer is what would be expected. Clips won't last a lot of cycles of use, but not many have to plug and unplug anyway. Just that you order because of a pic and you assume one thing, then it comes as another, you feel cheated kind of. They work though, bottom line.

EDIT 12/23/14: OK, found the problem with a new-build not booting. Couldn't find a boot drive. Every morning when sys was powered up. I would remove the back, play with the SATA conns, boots just fine. Why? These cables. Total trash. At first I was OK with the bait and switch of plastic locks instead of the steel. But the rest of the conn is crap too. These are all being pulled, cut in half to prevent someone else from using them and having the same conn problem. Not only money down the drain, but the insane amount of time to track down from (foolishly) assuming that since I used new cables in a build, it couldn't be them...
From three to one-star now. My recommendation: RUN AWAY FROM THESE!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2014I received these cables and they are not marked as SATA III, just SATA. They also are not locking.
(edit)These cables do have locks on them. Rather than metal locks as pictured, they have black, plastic locks.(/edit)
- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2014Decent cables; however they are best used in an uncrowded case...if your case setup requires the SATA cables to twist and turn through nooks and crannies, these will frustrate you. Once installed though, they work just fine.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2016These work great. I needed this for a new build and decided to get some extra because the price was right. These look and feel as though they will hold up well. The snap has good hold when it's snapped in. These particular cables have speeds of up too 6Gbps. Overall, I'm, satisfied with the price, quality and function of the cables and would buy them again.
