Beautifully ripened in Turkish sun
At my senioritis condition, I need foods that will keep me healthy for the next years. I have a few more book to write. So I could not be happier with these apricots. First, ignore the reviewers who want the bright colored apricots. They are treated with sulfur. That's where the color comes from. Jump on these unsulfured, un messed-with organic babies filled with potassium and calcium.Younger buyers may not care, but being an Internet researcher, I learned that apricots have more calcium than any other fruit! Kiwi and oranges are next on the list in that order. I haven't fallen lately and don't plan to, but seniors (who have a propensity for falling) must protect their bone structure, and adding calcium to your diet is an excellent strategy.I nibble on these tasty babies while writing, and I think their iron content gives me extra energy. I'm ready to go back to my work-in-progress with special enthusiasm. And they don't stick to my fingers. They say that if you dream of fresh apricots, it's a symbol of increased happiness and wealth. Artists have used them to symbolize female genitalia. What other fruit can give you equal doses of calcium and history?

I discovered a long time ago that apricots have a laxative effect on me, so when I get constipated, I eat apricots. They're a delicious addition to oatmeal or other breakfast cereals, and have a lot of Vitamin A.

It's weird that foods without additives are the exception rather than the norm. The delicious quality of the natural ones shows that stuff isn't necessary. These apricots are exactly what I hoped they would be. Just apricots and nothing else. Their sweetness, flavor, and texture make them as good as any candy as far as I'm concerned. And better for you.
The only minor con is that occasionally a few of the apricots maybe weren't totally ripe and/or dried out a little too much and can be a little tough and not as sweet. But they're few and far between.

I have been buying dried apricots at Whole Foods and have been quite satisfied. When I say what looked like the same package and producer on line I thought I'd save myself the trip and have them delivered. Although the same producer, the packaging was different than advertised, which was my first clue. Then I opened the bag and the apricots were not the sam--they are small, black, dry, and tasteless. And they are exempt from the Amazon return policy. This is my first negative review on Amazon--because the product is inferior and the company will not stand behind it.

If you are wanting dried apricots that are bright orange and have a good but almost “not ripe” taste, these aren’t for you.

These are natural and don’t have sulfur dioxide to protect the bright orange color.

Because there is no sulfur dioxide, the apricots ripen while drying and turn dark; sometimes they even look black. Since they are dried naturally, the sugars seem to concentrate while drying and provide a very nice and unique sweet taste.

After going through a 1 pound bag per week for a month and loving them, and since there is uncertainty in the food supply, I just stocked up and bought six 3 pound bags.

Made in nature has a good idea going and I recommend these. I wouldn’t let other reviews sway you from at least trying a pound.

Note: somewhere I read on their site that once a bag is open, it’s probably best to refrigerate them. Also, the latest packaging states that these are grown in Turkey.

I am on a diet that does not allow processed sugar. These are the perfect snack. I’m afraid I love them too much. I have to limit myself or I’ll eat too many. The texture varies. Some are soft and almost moist inside. Others can be firm like fruit leather. Seems like the small ones are that way. On average, they are generally tender.
These are not the bright orange type that lack flavor and are somewhat sour. I never liked those. These are always sweet and are not sour or tangy at all.
Try them with almonds; so good.

These apricots are wonderful! I love them! They are 100% natural. No preservatives are used on them. They are "fresh" and taste delicious. When I open a bag I put it in the refrigerator because I happen to like them cold. In my mind, you can't go wrong buying "Made in Nature Organic Apricots"...if you like apricots. I have been eating them for over six months. I bought out my local store's inventory when they were no longer going to carry them. I believe the full price had been $7.99 for six ounces. I never bought them at this price. They marked the apricots down to about $3.79 to get rid of them. Since I have not bought these apricots on-line, I cannot speak to their freshness/expiration date here. My local store bought apricots had an expiration date six months out. Seeing that some customers on-line have had problems with what sounds like bad, perhaps old product, one can only give it a try and let the first experience speak for itself. I must say I do have an occasional apricot dud, but fruit product is never 100% perfect.

Update:
Ordered two new bags this past week Sold By: Made in Nature....always past bags have been great, but this was a bad batch. Worms and rodent hair throughout both bags and I shoved 2 in my mouth before realizing what what else was crawling around in the bag. I can still feel them going down my esophagus and hope this is just some extra protein and cellulose for the day. Wondering where these sat waiting to be bagged.

A pity this product review has to damage the review on the product sold by others. Ugh lololololol

These are great (wondering about all the fig reviews LOLOLOLOL) Apricots Sun-Kissed Supersnacks. I first found them at Costco's...haven't seen them in a while and am sooooo happy Amazon carries them now. I wanted a Unsulfured, Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified dried apricot and I get it here. They are great for your pipes and your brain. I cut up about 4 or 5 tasty apricots and put them in my cereal or mix them with my cottage cheese for breakfast. LOVE THEM Thank you for the larger bags <3
