So I confess I am a fan of both classical music and of the seamier bits of city life. A show that combines them both - yes please! This show does for classical music what Numb3rs did for math - i.e. makes a profession many don't understand both real and fascinating. What's more, Mozart in the Jungle portrays geniuses and virtuosos as not the one dimensional boring stooges mainstream media usually presents, but as complex characters with lives both normal and naughty. It's about time. How long has the media shown smart people as never getting laid? And classical musicians as having no sense of humor? Wrong! Kinky and cool can show up anywhere - and here with a soundtrack far more lasting than the latest indie pop band. Added bonus: after years of trying to get my teenage son to hear what I hear in Mozart, he can finally connect great music to something more interesting than old white people in suits. Please finish making this show. It's an award winner.

This pilot is great! The concept is so unique, the acting superb, the characters so believable and interesting…I can't wait to see what happens next! I'm not typically someone who enjoys character dramas much, but the creators of this show were able to capture something incredibly refreshing to watch. I can easily imagine Mozart in the Jungle winning a few Emmy's in the future. My only fear is that it becomes something I've seen several times before on TV—a sappy relationship drama that takes place in a big city. Keep it believable, keep it quirky, and keep it different!

So thrilled that a show about classical music is made. All the performances were really high level, acting was great, and the chemistry between the oboist and dancer was great. Love it!!!

Love seeing this kind of dark, flashy nuttiness set in the classical music world. Excellent dialogue and acting. Also love the NYC setting. Hope it gets picked up!

Refreshing and fun!!!
It is time for the serious underworld of professional music to gain exposure in general entertainment.
The subject matter is fresh. The presentation is professional. The expression of egos that may appear at first glance to be over-acting, are indeed the reality of the egos and emotive personalities found in the professional music world.

I thought this was really great. I liked seeing a show about instrumentalists for a change, they're not nearly represented enough in all of the shows currently on TV.

I really hope this gets picked up, I'm already looking forward to spending more time in this world with all the backstage goings-on of a major city orchestra.
