Product Description

About our Almond Flour:
Almond flour is simply finely ground blanched (skinless) almonds. Grinding the almonds without the skins yields a finer-textured flour for better baked goods. Our almond flour is made with only one ingredient: California almonds.
We use only the finest blanched almonds to create the fine milled flour you receive. Even though it's sometimes known as almond meal, don't be fooled. Lot's of people try to pawn off their almond meal as almond flour, and there is a discernible difference. We offer only the finest blanched gluten free almond flour - and we ain't lying. Each production run is sampled and tested to confirm this product is Batch Tested Gluten-Free.

High Protein - 28 grams of our blanched almond flour contains over 6 grams of high quality plant-based protein. This not only helps you meet your daily protein needs, but also aids in the fluffiness of baked goods!
Low Carb - If you’re looking to keep your carbohydrate intake on the lower side, almond flour is perfect for you! 28 grams of our almond flour has just over 5 grams of carbohydrates. Much of that is dietary fiber, which helps digestion and does not impact blood sugar.
Great wheat flour substitute - Almond flour can often be substituted one-to-one for wheat flour in quick bread-style recipes. Examples include muffins, pancakes, and cookies. Almond flour lends a delicious buttery texture to baked goods!
Healthy Fats - Getting enough healthy, natural fats in your diet is good for your overall health. The fat in almond flour is unrefined and can help to provide sustained energy without a carb crash.

The Crust:
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
¾ cup almond flour
2 tbs cream cheese
1 egg
Garlic salt
Parchment paper and cookie sheet
Instructions:
-put mozzarella & cream cheese in a medium size microwaveable bowl
After making some keto recipes, I found it best to cube up the cream cheese before melting with other cheeses
-Microwave for 1 min, stir and then another 30 sec, stir (very hot!)
-Stir in egg & almond flour
-Wet hands and spread “dough” thin on parchment paper. It should spread evenly with dough-like consistency (if “stringy” then your cheese has hardened too much—just put it back in the microwave for maybe another 20 seconds)
-Dock (poke rows of holes) with a fork to avoid bubbling
-Sprinkle with garlic salt
-Put in 425 degree oven
-After about 8 minutes, check it and poke holes where any large bubbles may be.
-Continue cooking for a total 12-14 min, or until slightly brown on top.
I also make a 90 second bread slice with this:
3 tbsp Anthony's blanched almond flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tbsp melted butter
1 egg
1. Mix dry ingredients right in the container in which you'll be making the 'bread'. (I use a sandwich sized tupperware type container)
2. Add melted butter and egg and mix together with a fork
3. Tap the container on the counter to get as many air bubbles out as possible
4. Microwave for 1:30 (90 seconds)
5. Toast on lowest setting in toaster
It is pretty high calorie for a single slice of bread but adding mayo/lettuce/lunch meat of your choice makes for the best gluten free sandwich I've ever had. Way better than buying super expensive gluten free bread loaves.
I used the flour to make my first-ever batch of chocolate macarons and I loved it! They were such a great success that I hope to try making different flavors (meaning I'll need a lot more flour lol). I also appreciate that it can be used as a low-carb replacement, so I'll look up some new recipes for that use, too.

After sifting, there are very little Almond pieces left in the sifter.
This Almond flour is made from 100% California almonds. It is all natural, gluten-free, vegan and organic. No additives or preservatives.
There are many uses for their Almond flour. If you are on a low carb diet, it can be substituted for all purpose flour in making things like pizza crust, breads, even brownies.
I’ve already purchased this product three times. I will continue to buy it regularly.

I also bought the coconut flour from the same brand...just be sure that you check which one you have before using! haha
Almost taste is mild which is fine for general baking where you don't want almond pizza crust.
Made great macaroons with this last week - splenda, very stiff egg whites, pinch of salt, and
lots of almond extract. BTW, if new to this, NEVER bake macaroons on metal, it is like superglue.
Silicon mats are OKI, but I use parchment paper - the "secret" all chefs who went to culinary school learn
very early.

what in the world is Sheerness in food? Worked in my parents hotel and with Julia Child at WGBH, never heard the term.
