It's labeled "Coarse" but it's really more of a medium grind. Many "coarse" salts are the size of rock salt, but this one is actually finer than that. It's too fine for refilling a salt grinder, for example. But it's a perfect size for rimming margarita glasses (which I do fairly frequently!). Also for sprinkling on cooked broccoli, mashed potatoes, anything you want to finish with a little salt and a light, salty crunch.
