We cut ties with satellite/cable providers last year and have turned to a combination of Netflix streaming, HULU Plus and buying our favorite shows on Amazon. This works exceptionally well for us as purchasing the shows on Amazon is like having an unlimited DVR that you can watch from any internet connected device!

Modern Family is one of those shows, at least at our house, that we can watch together and everyone enjoys themselves. There is enough going on to keep the kids entertained (age 10) and there is a lot of humor geared towards adult viewers. And anyone with kids knows, finding shows like that is a real plus. That said, there are usually one or two episodes in each season that we don't let the kids watch due to more adult themes, but all in all it's a pretty safe bet. And don't even get me started about the pleasure of watching TV without commercials!

If you are looking for a great family comedy to curl up on the couch with, absolutely check out Modern Family.

Modern Family is a great show. When I was in grad school, it was my go to study break. I knew I would laugh every time, and I did. There are some excellent comedies out now, but I feel that Modern Family is the only one that is guaranteed to always make you laugh. It reminds me of Friends in that way.

This show always, always makes us laugh out loud. We can't even decide who is our favorite character because all characters are well developed and each have their quirks. Kudos to the writers and creators because they keep coming up with hilarious ideas and situations for the show.

Modern Family has recently become my favorite show on TV. I adore the dry wit and humor. Every episode makes me laugh out loud and it truly reminds me of life, these days. I saved up my slow shipping credits to purchase the entire season and I think I have enough to get a couple more. Now, the hard part...which ones will I choose? You can't go wrong with this hilarious sitcom. It definitely puts me in a great mood every time I watch it and I highly recommend it to anyone who is silly and witty, you will love it!

Season 5 continues to be as funny and enjoyable as previous seasons. Many shows lose momentum but not this one. I hope we have many more seasons ahead of us. I can watch episodes over and over without getting bored.

This is an all time classically funny series...thinking it could not get funnier it simply does....this season was among the best that our family has watched and we've seen every episode. Mother's Day is still my favorite, "I don't love pink, pink loves me" A very close second is this season's "Phil-epitical"...love it!

TV feels inundated with sitcoms, but Modern Family manages to rise about most of the crowd with its interesting characters and unique brand of humor. From the opening episode I was hooked, with each of the three families being followed offering a different 'feel' but each being equally funny. The show follows a format of three separate storylines in most episodes, which it usually manages to tie together in the end with some kind of unified theme. It is an interesting format, and the writers have really made it work.

Season 5 is well worth checking out if you were a fan of the previous season. The families manage to grow and adapt just enough to keep their characters interesting, but without hurting the original formula that makes the show work.
