Hands down, our favorite kids water bottle

I own two of these drink cups (purchased in summer of 2013) and after reading some of the unfavorable reviews, just went to check on our straw tops… they are not removable. To answer the question/concern of cleaning them, I'll explain that (I believe) they are a silicone dipped top. There is no space between the straw top and this "rubbery-soft" coating at all. These tops are easily cleaned by running hot soapy water through the tops and we actually have a very narrow brush that fits inside of our reusable glass straws that also fits inside of the Eco Vessel parts as well. We do dish wash them occasionally, but I try to hand wash them to make them last longer. We have about 8 different brands of reusable drink cups with different tops for our daughter. I should probably throw the rest away, because these are the ones that are easiest for her to use and don't leak at all if properly closed. My second favorite is a small glass LifeFactory brand, but there is no sippy top, just a regular lid. I use that bottle for fruit smoothies and just send a plastic straw with her since the smoothie is harder to clean out after a full day of school. We really only use these bottles for water anyways. We have the Pink w/ tree design, and the White w/ owl design.

Little Cutie Works Just Like The Big Ones

We have a couple of the larger Eco Vessels and love them, so I didn't hesitate when I saw this smaller bottle. It is perfect for small children who want to be just like mom or dad. Let's face it, kids tend to be little petri dishes of germs. Why not go ahead and begin instilling into them the importance of not sharing items that come in contact with your mouth? I found that these bottles are most like drinking from a sippy cup or with a straw-- and less likely to cause choking from water getting into the windpipe than most of the other water bottles. And the carry handle is good for small hands.

great product - don't tip over

I bought this after spending quite some time looking for a stainless steel water bottle with a straw. It sounds like it may have been redesigned a bit since some of the negative reviews and we have not had any problems with the durability.

Pros: My 18 month old has used this daily for six months and it's been dropped, thrown, etc. and has a few small dents but nothing major. The straw is still in perfect condition. I also really like that all of the parts come off so it's really easy to wash and also very easy to see the entire bottle is clean (no hard to clean gaskets, etc.). The handle is also a nice feature so I can hang the water bottle from the stroller.

Con: The bottle leaks when it's tipped over, especially when full. To be fair the description doesn't say leak proof but it does mean I will probably get my daughter a new water bottle soon.

Not so "eco" when you have to keep replacing broken ones

I liked these bottles because they don't leak, come apart easily for cleaning, and are easy for my kids to use. However, we immediately began having problems with the rubber spout coming off and showing signs of wear. The company was very good about sending replacement lids (which felt wasteful, as it was only the little spout part that was damaged), but shortly thereafter, the plastic threading came off of one of the bottles, and was impossible to repair. Again, they sent us another, and again, my stomach turned at having this pile of plastic and stainless steel that was essentially garbage. Then yesterday I looked into my son's soaked lunch bag and found that once again, the plastic threading (on a replacement bottle) had come off, turning yet another bottle into garbage (we use them as toothbrush holders, but still). I suppose I could tell the company and have them replace it yet again, but honestly even though I appreciate the service, it just seems wasteful to me, and I will be looking for a different container.

I really like this water bottle. It has 2 plastic straws that come with it that attach to the lid on the inside. I actually do not use them because my son likes to tip back the water bottle instead. I've used this for both water and smoothies. I love that this works well with smoothies because he loves to have fruit smoothies with me and this contains his mess pretty well. I purchased the silver and orange one and it looks exactly like the picture. I've only been using it for a few days, but I like it so far. I do have to say that this probably would leak, but we use it on walks or in the car, so that is not a problem with me since it is usually upright. I doubt this would be very good for a lunch box.

I spent way more hours than any normal person should researching water bottles for my toddler daughter. I wanted her to have something sturdy (didn't dent or snap parts off easily) and didn't leak. Being cute was just a bonus (she liked the owl so it encourages her to drink, she loves her cup). Major flaw with this cup- it leaks everywhere! If the spout is closed, it does not leak to my knowledge. However, if the spout is up, and you tip the cup over, water comes out everywhere. I don't think I can even use this cup till she is much older and knows to close it as soon as she takes a drink. What a bummer, this cup was expensive! Back to the drawing board!

This is my favorite metal water bottle for kids so far. My little guy has used it since he was 18 months old. He can flip the top up by himself and he can drink easily from it. It is always floating around in the diaper bag and it has never leaked on us. It's easy to clean (we only use it for water). The silicone tip can not come off, no matter how hard he pulls with his teeth. It's a good size for a child. Super cute, too.
Only slight drawback is the straw does fall out easily. We have lost 2 so far. I'm still giving it 4 stars, and I'm purchasing a second one, because it has been a great water bottle for us.

The straw mechanism doesn't work well at all after a couple weeks. Very frustrating. poor design on the straw mechanism. We were wondering why our toddler was getting angry when trying to drink from this. then we tried it and realized that he was mostly sucking air! poor little guy. So, we bought another one, thinking this was a fluke, but the second one suffered from the same issue. waste of money. do not buy!
