- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2024Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseI use these Fat Daddios bread pans for banana bread and loaf-size pound cakes, including Hershey's Chocolate Cake using the recipe on Hershey's Cocoa containers.
They also are nice for meat loaf. It's an ideal size--not too big and not too small.
These are anodized aluminum pans, which is somewhat non-stick, but I spray them lightly with Baker's Joy and then put parchment paper inside, which sticks to the Baker's joy sprayed on the sides and bottom. It makes removing the banana bread or pound cake loaf very easy, and it's easy to clean. For cleanup, I spray and rinse first with hot water and then wash in the dishwasher.
This is the recipe for banana nut bread, where you can use diced Medjool Dates instead of dark brown pure cane sugar. I like to add chopped pecans or chopped walnuts. As shown in one of the photos, the bananas should have brown spots and be ripe but not overly ripe. The key to this recipe is NOT to use oil or butter, which I discovered by forgetting to add oil or butter. I usually prefer butter for cakes, but it's flavor is too intense and overwhelms the bananas. The general rule is that the riper the bananas, the more banana flavor; but it needs some spices like Pumpkin Pie Spice mix (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger):
Banana Date Nut Bread Recipe
2 and 1/2 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour (sifted)
1 tablespoon baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
1/4 teaspoon Kosher coarse salt
1 cup white sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar (or 1 cup chopped Medjool dates)
2 organic large eggs
6 ripe bananas (spotted but not solid brown)
1 cup Bulgarian buttermilk (or 1 cup whole milk)
1 tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
4 ounces chopped walnuts or chopped pecans (optional)
Bake approximately 1 hour in parchment-lined Fat Daddios bread loaf pans
Baker's Joy and Reynold's precut parchment cookie baking sheets, which you cut in half and fold, make everything easy. For reference, the parchment sheets do not need to be the full length of the bread loaf pans, and they just need to be length-wise (see the photos), since Baker's Joy makes the side ends non-stick.
This is an easy recipe, as are the recipes for different types of pound cakes, which can be boxed cake mix like Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines, and Krusteaz (all personal favorites).
Summarizing, these Fat Daddios' bread pans are perfectly sized, and when you use Baker's joy lightly and Reynold's parchment cookie baking sheets, it transforms something that was messy and time-consuming into FUN with easy clean-up and serving.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2024Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchasePerfect size for the RoadPro electric lunch box oven that runs off 12 volts. Allows you to put a little water in the lunch box and your food in this pan. That creates some steam so your food doesn't burn and makes the pan easier to clean. Good size for bread pans too. Thick quality well made aluminum pans that conduct heat quickly compared to steel or glass. Saves on electricity and food cooks faster.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2023Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseThe biggest issue I have with these pans is that they were wedged together tightly and even after trying the Ice/Hot water method, they still didn't budge. After trying the method 3 times, I realized that I probably didn't wait long enough.
The most important thing to do is to allow the pans to sit for at least 5 minutes after the pans are filled and sitting in water. I placed the stuck pans into a larger pan, put ice and a little water into the top pan to weigh it down. Then I added boiling water into the larger pan so that it rose just under the lip and set the timer. When the time was up, I removed the pans from the water, dumped the ice water (into another bowl just in case I had to repeat it) and pulled on the stuck pans in opposite directions. Then I heard a "pop" and they were apart.
The complaints are numerous and there is no solid reason why the manufacturer doesn't put a cardboard 'ribbon' separator between the pans. Frankly, it's ridiculous that they don't respond to all the requests for this very simple fix.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2024Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseI love the way my bread looks out of these pans! Straight sides, beautiful sandwich loaves. You do have to grease them. I use butter. Make sure you get the top edge. Mine were not jammed together, thank heaven.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2024Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseThe product is a loaf p an in an unusual size that I use for baking fruiit cakes for gifts
- Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2024Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseThese cake pans are the perfect size for making cake loaves. I recently made banana bread loaves, and they turned out perfect. I buttered and floured the pans before pouring the batter, and the bread cooked evenly throughout with a nice even crust on all sides. Highly recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2023Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseThese pans were rammed together so tightly that it was impossible to pull them apart. I came back to process a return and saw a suggestion from a reviewer to put ice in the top pan. I did that and was finally able to pull the pans apart after a couple of minutes. But the area where the two pans were joined is all scratched, as is the bottom of one of the pans.
I am very tired of receiving products that are damaged or otherwise substandard. I heard that Fat Daddio's sold excellent pans, but that is not what I received. I don't understand why a company would ram pans together in a way that damages the pans and frustrates its customers. I am not happy to now have to go through the hassle of a return. I don't plan to buy anything else from this brand, so I cannot recommend that you do so.

Size: 7.75 x 3.75 x 2.5 Inch, Set of 2Verified PurchaseI do a lot of loaf breads for bake sales, and this one is a perfect size, not too large, and not too small. The shape with the straight-up (almost) sides is also good, though not for storage stacking. They did bake very well.
