I am an adult woman, and normally wear a size 6.5, or occasionally a size 6 in women's shoes. I initially ordered these shoes in a 'big kids' (boys/mens) size 5, following the rule of thumb that the men's shoe size equivalent to a woman's is 1.5 sizes smaller (so 6.5 womens = 5 in mens). The 5s were OK, but just a touch big. Thankfully, due to free prime shipping and returns, I ordered the 4.5 instead, and they are perfect.
I have another pair of women's adidas shoes that I ordered about 8 months ago in a 6.5 and they too are about a half size larger than expected. I'd say if you are on the fence about sizing, go with your smaller size.
As for style, they are as expected...very cute...much like the classic Samba with with real arch support. Average width (probably will not work for someone with a wide foot at all). I have only tried them only and strolled around the house, but so far so good on comfort. If I see these on sale for a great price, I will probably buy another pair in another color.
