Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers are satisfied with the functionality of the transformer. They mention it works great and is a good product.

Customers are satisfied with the voltage hold of the transformer. They mention it has a constant output voltage, steady power, and is fairly stable with moderate loads.

Purchased about sixty of these and they worked great. They hold a constant output voltage. I set them on about 12.8 volts and varied the input voltage from about 22 volts to 28 volts and the output voltage did not change much if any. I was very happy with these. We did get a couple that were slightly different than the rest though. One of the other version boards had a slightly different layout on the circuit board and when my coworker clipped the meter leads onto the board to set the voltage he burnt the board up. Just be careful where with it and they are great. We are finding more applications for these constantly and will be ordering more. We took some clear shrink wrap and placed around them to insulate the whole board for our application. I think it was about 1.25" that fit well. May have been a bit larger.
I've now bought several of these and competing items on Amazon. In this case, 2 out of 2 arrived non-functioning. In both cases, the cheap pot was shorted to one end, so there was no output voltage control.
NOTE: The fix is easy if you have a small 10k pot (approx $1.50 on digikey). Once fixed these are fairly stable with voltage and moderate load. They consume almost 5mA by themselves with no load.
Make sure you don't even think of overloading or short circuit this board for a nanosecond. It doesn't have any protection whatsoever. I got it fried in a blink of an eye. I'm getting something else with short and overload protection.
I purchased these to clean up the power from a car 12V line for an embedded electronics project and it has worked great. The output is clean and consistent, and was very easy to dial in.
Love these little guys. I have these little project boxes that have a 12volt power supply to power a 7"LCD screen. Then I needed 5 volt for the raspberry pi, so this was the perfect solution. Inexpensive and works great.
