The cable I received was not "ultra thin" - if fact, it was thicker than the Monster cable was I wanted to replace. I was after something thin enough to run through some D-Line floor trim that hides cables. The problem was I couldn't find any "thin" cables in Australia so I turned to Amazon. After reading the reviews, I got the impression that this product was thin enough for my purposes but I ended up with a normal "fat" sized HDMI cable. I wonder if the wrong product was sent out - although the plastic packaging it came in said "ultra thin".

Worse, when I tried the cable it didn't work - and it tried it on several appliances - it just wouldn't transmit a signal. And, yes, before anyone asks, I connected the inputs as labelled TV & Source - and vise versa to be sure. Going back over the reviews, this product currently has 24% 1 star rating - mostly for just not working. Any product that has a quarter defect rate should be avoided and I wished I had read more of the negative reviews before buying! The final indignity was I couldn't even return this product - it is so heavy that to send back through Australia Post to Amazon in the US would cost me more than I paid paid for it! - so I have had to wear the loss.

After further investigation, I ended up going with Ultra Clarity FLAT HDMI Cable 2.0 - 35 Feet, High Speed HDMI Flat Wire, 10.6 Meter By Ultra Clarity - CL3 Rated - Audio Return Channel, 4K Ultra HD 2160p, Bandwidth up to 18Gbps, 3D HD 2 X 1080p, Gold Tip Connector and I couldn't be happier. It fits in my hollow floor trim, it's 3D & 4K and very well made! I've even extended the length by connect two HDMI cables together and it works perfectly.

A final point, I'm not sure if RedMere technology is necessary any more for longer length HDMI cables, certainly in my case (over 45ft) it wasn't. BuyCheapCable introduced their RedMere HDMI product back in 2013, which quite a while ago in cable technology and I would suggest it may be obsolete - at least up to 50 feet.

Don't let the low price draw draw you in - never worked

I should have read more of the reviews before purchasing this product. It never worked.. I bought it for a particular presentation that I needed to hook my iPad up to a large monitor across the room but ended up not needing it so I put it away. 4 months later I tried to use it at home and nothing so I substituted it for some of my working HDMI cables and still nothing. Now I am past any return and even if I could the cost is not worth it and i know there are companies out there that count on this

Great cable for running between exposed components. The shielding is far too thin to run behind drywall or near any power cables. The interference causes audio signal to hiss. When run between components in a cabinet or in the open-air, it works great.

I just bought a new TV, and asked about the quality I would experience using thin cables like these vs. using the thick HDMI cables that I have had for several years. I was told to keep using the older cables because of the data transmission quality. Eventually I got a set of these cables and found that the video quality was better than the cables I had been using. So... I switched out all of my cables for these. Absolutely no complaints at all.
