I did so much research when looking for a diffuser and I was considering some very expensive models. After all, you only want to buy a diffuser once, right? And you want to get the best one out there. Now that I have this doTERRA Petal Diffuser, I'm wondering what the big deal was. I love this model! Here's why:
- It is so easy to use. I guess you could say it's dummy-proof. It's got two buttons on the front. One is for the night light (the entire white part lights up) and the other is a timer.
- It's easy to clean: you just wipe out the inside with a cloth. That's it. I'll admit I don't clean mine often, though. Just when it smells moldy. I use mine nightly so that's about every 3 or 4 weeks.
- I love the shape. It doesn't look weird or new age-y or phallic like some of the others out there. It actually looks cool.
- The size is perfect for a normal-sized bedroom.
- The price is good in comparison to the competition.
When I was looking for the "perfect" diffuser, I drove myself crazy comparing one model to another. I was willing to spend whatever it took to get the one I would keep for life. However, I got so caught up in what some of the very expensive diffusers offered that I wasn't able to make a decision. Finally I caved and just got this one. I figured a small investment (aka, a small price) meant a small risk. Now that I have it, I understand more that the functionality of most diffusers is pretty basic: they infiltrate the air with a scent plus maybe they have a few features, like nightlights, timers, etc. Funny enough, the simplicity and elegance of this diffuser is what made it perfect for me.
One last thing, a lot of people harp on how the top is hard to get off or it drips, etc. Don't let these comments sway you too much. I don't necessarily want to disagree with them, but I'll just say that I just don't think about these things when I think about this product.

Perfect addition to my nightstand!
My first encounter with th dōTERRA diffuser was at the house of the girl I nanny for. I thought it was super cute and thought I'd check it out online.Fast forward to the smite of fall/winter, my hair and skin were extremely dry! I ended up purchasing this diffuser in hopes that the extra humidity it would add would solve this issue. Thankfully it did! I've been using the diffuser every night and it has made such a big difference in the moisture of my hair and skin and I feel better when I'm waking up!!It's pretty quiet, barely gives off a little white noise when it's on. I love that there are timer settings and I always leave in on 4 hours when I go to sleep or I even do it when I get home from work additionally. I purchased the Kis essential oil pack which I have been obsessing over! I use the eucalyptus oil almost every night with my diffuser and it has made a tremendous difference in clearing up my sinuses, freshening the air and clearing my congestion.The light in the diffuser is very calming- just the right brightness and hue- and I'm glad there is an option to turn it on or off.Overall, I am loving the diffuser and have recommended it to friends!
