A total SCAM!!

I had a cracked head gasket but it wasn’t too bad and my car hadn’t started overheating. I was told that a fluid should seal it. I ordered this one because I read a bunch of great reviews. I followed the direction on the bottle but, it completely clogged up my car. The coolant wasn’t able to get to the engine. It started overheating within a minute of driving. I had to purchase another product to dissolve the first one, which did the trick. Now, I’m out $120 for steel seal and for $23 for irontite thorp-flush. Steel Seal also claims that if it doesn’t work you’ll get your money back, that’s a TOTAL LIE!!! When you call the number on the back NO ONE ANSWERS...EVER! I’m so fed up with this SCAM of a company. Don’t put this junk in your car!

Steel Seal got my Jeep back on the road

I had combustion gasses getting into the coolant in my 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi. Jeep was overheating, I had a cylinder 5 misfire, and white smoke in the exhaust. I drained the coolant, filled with water and added Steel Seal. I removed the #5 spark plug, coil connector, and fuel injector connector. I ran for 1 hour at idle without the #5 plug. This allowed the steel seal to get into the problem area. Then, I let it cool completely. The next morning, I put the plug and both connectors back on. Started the jeep, and I had no misfire. Let it idle for a while and it did not overheat. I even did a combustion leak test and it PASSED. Steel Seal fixed my Jeep, and I definitely recommend the product. Steel seal support was very helpful. I encourage anyone who is skeptical to call support and discuss your issue. This $120 product saved me a ton versus a head gasket repair bill. I have driven over 100 miles since and I am not showing ANY further symptoms. FYI, I did drain out water/steel seal and replace with 50/50 coolant a couple days later.

Fixed a Northstar Cadillac!

While it is pretty pricey, it's way better than dropping the engine and doing the head gaskets on my 2002 Cadillac DeVille DTS. Yes, the notorious Northstar engine! It recently started smoking, and a friend recommended it, even said he would pay me back if it didn't work. Well, fortunately he kept his money! I have not had any issues with the cooling system since putting this stuff in. If it can fix my Northstar Cadillac, it should have no issues fixing anyone else's head gasket.

The product arrived in a plastic bag and it appeared to have been crushed. There was a white residue all over everything in the bag. I decided to try what was left in the bottles hoping it would work but it didn’t. I still have the same steam from the tailpipe.

I really need to change my previous review. After I wrote the first the manufacturer evidently read it and sent another order to me. It’s been a few months now and I can truly say that after using it my car is doing fine. This is an amazing product and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Update: After driving approximately
900 miles the truck losts all it's coolant.
PRODUCT DID NOT WORK...
Amazingly this has worked on a newly busted head gasket on my LLY duramax. Have tested it 2 days.
So far so good. Note: flush your coolant prior to using this product. Its gel like and your going to want to possibly leave it in the system.

This sealant seems to be working so far. Cautiously optimistic. Was a fair price and arrived quickly. Directions on how to apply product were a bit vague, though. Directions on bottle and online cover page didn't mention anything about changing oil in vehicle first. I found this info out in a "deep dive" of the o-line fine print. Also a little hassle that this product not compatible with antifreeze. I probably went over board in flushing my coolant system several times to make sure no anitfreeze in system. Was taking no chances.
