Corrupted cartridge

I went to go try it out I would get a error message saying
"An error has occurred. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again"
it does this every time I try to play the game! so I downloaded the update for the game and that at least let me create a save file but as soon as what I guess is the first cut scene is about to start I get that message again and have to turn of the system. and I know it ain't my N3DS because all my other games work and I tried it on 2 other 3DS (the other was a 2DS) systems but I get the same thing. so could the cartridge itself be corrupted

Abraham Lincoln VS Aliens? Count me in!

This game is super cool! Whoever came up with the idea to have Abraham Lincoln lead the fight against aliens in a video game is a genius - a mad genius. The gameplay is pretty fun and unique for a turn-based game, and the overall story and premise is really enjoyable. The steampunk style world and art is really well executed, which helped me really buy into the entire game's concept. The mix of characters from across different literature, teaming together, was a pretty awesome element, I finally feel vindicated for being the only person in school to have enjoyed reading The Red Badge of Courage (that's right, Henry Fleming is in this game!). Of course, as a Fire Emblem fan, the Amiibo compatibility absolutely sealed the deal for me to love this game, and I had a lot of fun playing as Lucina, Robin, Marth, and Ike as well. Overall, this game is really cool - perhaps a bit quirky - but really cool!

As another reviewer said, this game is VERY addicting. I'm an avid 3DS gamer and love many of the IS strategy RPG games. Honestly this one didn't appeal to me for a long time - I think this was due to the name, the cover art, and a personal aversion to SteamPunk. It just didn't look like something I was interested in. After seeing a recent video on YouTube talking about IS games, I finally gave it a shot - the $10 price tag definitely made it more attractive. I have to say I'm really glad I did, because this game is awesome. The levels are a lot of fun, and the unique mix of FPS with Strategy RPG elements is very unique. The characters and story are really interesting - it uses both real and fictional characters from history and creates a comic-like, entertaining storyline. Really the draw here is the unique battle-system, and I can't get enough of it. I like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem, but this one might just be my favorite. The only thing I'm worried about is that this game may not have done well enough for them to continue the IP. I would LOVE to see a sequel either on the 3DS or the Switch - let's hope they give it one more shot.

This is a really addictive turn base strategy game! I was on the fence about making the purchase but with so many positive reviews I took a chance. I really love the comic book style graphics and that is something I am surprised about. The 3D is pretty well done for this title as well. I can honestly say that I have never played a game like this before. Using the steam for movement and weapons is a really good way to constantly make you think about your next move. I really like how the game does not take itself too serious and is all about having fun. Very happy with my purchase!

This is game is absolutely worth the MSRP of $39.99. It has multiplayer, a great campaign, a decent story, phenomenal voice acting, and a very creative/intriguing art style that works great in 3D. The replay value is amazing as you can go back and replay a mission with different characters and use a different strategy. It's not a difficult game to play but it does take some concentration and attention to detail to play it well. I love the fact that there characters are historical figures.

A strategy game made by Intelligent Systems (Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, and Warioware) that looks like it should be a bad game straight out of the 80s. Luckily, under the right conditions it's fun.

The game is a turn-based 3rd person shooter/strategy. You aim and fire manually for your characters, which is much easier if you have a *new* 3ds with the second thumbstick or a circle pad pro. If not, you use the touchscreen or (try to) use the a/b/x/y buttons to move the camera. Once your turn is over, the enemy has their turn. It takes awhile and you are restricted to what your characters can see (no map) so it can feel like you're just waiting. There is an update available that speeds it up and it makes the game flow a bit better. It's a challenging game, much like it's cousin Fire Emblem, sometimes you're one bad call away from losing. Mentioning F.E.: if you're lucky enough to own the Marth, Ike, Robin, or Lucina amiibos they unlock that character in the game.

I think it's worth saying that the characters and story are absurd and there will probably never be another game story like this again. President Lincoln runs an organization consisting of famous literary characters who use steam-punk technology to fight an invasion of Cthulhu aliens (all of which is depicted in a comic-book art style). The story won't win any awards, but it frames the action perfectly.

The game has flaws but if you like strategy games Codename STEAM is a steal at it's current price of $16.
