Good affordable frame, some assembly issues

Anyway, I'm still glad I got this frame, it really feels like a quality piece and having extra storage space now under the bed is great. The frame makes no noise at all when I'm moving around and it feels quite solid. I was a little worried during assembly because the wooden slats bend very easily, and I was also concerned that the upward bend would be noticeable through the mattress. These concerns are totally unfounded as it appears the bend and flex were designed to work together. I've tried sleeping on the edges and the center to determine if I feel like I'd roll off or notice any angle, however it's totally unnoticeable.
The only downside is the assembly did take me about an hour. It's very simple to assemble, there are just quite a few pieces. All in all though, great value. I briefly considered building something myself, but the wood alone would have cost me more than this frame. The packaging was not great, the box it's shipped in is too flimsy for the shipping service to play backyard wrestling with, so there were multiple holes in the box and the shrink wrap around the nuts and bolts was damaged. All the parts arrived and were not damaged at all, so no biggie. Not even a single scratch on any of the metal, so you could say the packaging was exactly the minimum required.
I haven't slept on it yet, but I put the mattress on and lay down and didn't fall through (about 250 lbs total combined weight). Seems sturdy and springy. I think a foam or a firm mattress would do best, my soft pillow top is a bit bouncy, and I could see the whole thing falling over if I sat on the very edge. Please see my pictures of the assembled frame. It took about an hour by myself. Also, with just the mattress on it it doesn't sit flat, it's bowed up in the middle. I would recommend putting an old sheet (that's what I did) or a second mattress protector on the bottom of the mattress as the slats are a bit rough and splintery. Or if you're cool and have the patience you could sand the top of the slats down. If anything happens I'll update this after sleeping on it a few times.

It was very easy to assemble. Read the instructions throughly and you'll be fine. My sons enjoyed putting it all together with me.
Not sure how much to tighten the wire bits - I tightened them a fair bit, but got worried they might suddenly spring out if I tried to tighten them so they fully stretched across the frame. Seem to work fine at any rate.
And the design with the wood slats has a bit of an aesthetic appeal too, if I may say so. (Although I won't actually see it very often with the mattress and bed sheets on top.)
Be careful with the wooden slats, if you slide your hand across them when putting them in the plastic supports you may get a splinter. They're smooth, but not perfect. Which is absolutely fine for their purpose, but just something to careful of. I learned the first time I did it, now you can learn from me, haha.
