The smell is inoffensive, nearly nonexistent.

I decided to try this natural deodorant after harsher ingredients in all the other deodorants ive tried inevitably caused my skin to burn and turn red. This one doesnt do thay.

The only downside is that it doesnt last super long; both in terms of daily wear, and length of time you get out of 1 stick of deodorant. Still, much better to the alternatives.

If you are allergic to perfume and miss the original unscented version before they changed it, you'll be thrilled to know that the Orange Citrus scent is the perfect replacement for it!

I discovered Arm & Hammer Essentials Deodorant years ago when I was trying to find a deodorant without aluminum that also worked well and didn't rub off on my clothes. I tried several of the natural varieties you might find at the local natural grocery store, but each one seemed to have a problem, it didn't work, it left marks on my clothes, the smell was bad, etc.

I am allergic to perfume so, unfortunately, that leaves out just about every mainstream deodorant brand. When I discovered the original Arm & Hammer Essentials unscented deodorant in the grocery store years ago I was in heaven! It worked, it didn't rub off on my clothes, and it had a pleasant citrusy scent that wasn't perfume so it didn't bother me.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way they changed the original unscented version to a very unpleasant aroma. I would catch a whiff of it throughout the day and it really bothered me and I couldn't use the other scents of Arm & Hammer Essentials that I found in the store because they all used perfume, so I had to ditch the brand.

Imagine my excitement when I recently stumbled upon this Orange Citrus scent here on Amazon. Could it be like my original beloved unscented version? I saw that fragrance wasn't listed in the ingredients so I thought maybe it really could be! I ordered it with excitement and trepidation and when I arrived I discovered that YES! It is the perfect replacement for the original unscented version. And it works just as well. Oh happy day!

This scent has a nice, pleasant, natural citrusy smell that doesn't overwhelm. It also works well, lasts long, and it's a great value. Even if you aren't allergic to perfume this product is a great buy!

I used to use old spice deodorant because it smelled kind of like Kool-Aid but then one day I put it on and I started getting headaches and my throat was scratchy and my eyes were watering and I couldn’t figure out why. I stopped using that anti-perspirant and suddenly all my problems went away. I started then looking for deodorants with either a very mild scent or no scent at all. I also did not need an anti-perspirant. I was only looking for a deodorant. I tried the natural scents from every big name you can think of and all of them had the same effect they made my throat scratchy and my eyes water and they gave me a headache. Then my mom told me about this deodorant, it had a mild citrus scent that dissipated through the day and pretty much you didn’t smell it after the first hour this was the first deodorant was able to use over a year without having any issues. It’s wonderful and I’ve been using it for the last three years.

I would like to say, although this is the only deodorant I use it does have its downsides. I live on a hot island that is hot for about 70% of the year. You will sweat you will get stinky and you will need a deodorant. The deodorant works for every day light use, but I would say if you are a very active person who gets sweaty and you struggle with body odor this may not work for you. I personally do not have any issues with body odor, but I do notice in the middle of summer I’m walking out in the sun and it’s very humid when I get home I do smell a little bit. I’m personally OK with that because no one else can really smell it on me, but if you are very self-conscious about that, this might not be the deodorant for you.

Hey did you know chamomile oil and coriander oil both attract wasps? I didn't until I got chased yesterday for no reason, including one FOLLOWING ME INTO A BUILDING. I wouldn't advise the Orange Citrus scent if you are afraid of stinging insects and/or allergic to them. Which I am. I am both very allergic to wasps and utterly terrified of them. Other than that the scent is lovely and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin despite the essential oils and fragrances. It also doesn't stain my clothes, even my white shirts. So three stars for that.

Wasps aside I still would have knocked it down a star or two because it doesn't last as long as long as claimed. I have to apply it twice a day, but it does a good job while it lasts. I just wouldn't recommend wearing it in a nature setting.
