We ordered Metabolic Maintenance alpha lipoic acid because it was one of the "cleanest" products out there, as MM's supplements usually are. From what we've learned, we wish MM would also make a version with 100% R-lipoic acid, apparently the active/usable form, and not the mixture of R and S forms as this particular item is. But so far, it seems to have the antioxidant effect (sort of like a "detox" effect) we were looking for in wanting an ALA product.
