I had my system professionally built by Digital Storm. I did this because I love gaming, but am not a big tech guy. I wanted a gaming PC! Low and behold, right after the 3 year warranty on the system expires, the hard drive fails. So I decided to man up, and learn about the inner workings of my PC. I school myself to replace the hard drive, and I gain some confidence and decide to update the video card as well. SUCCESS! I become more aware of the innards of my system and through sheer curiosity, turn my attention to my CPU(a factory overclocked i5 at 4.4ghz), the one part that has never let me down. And through 3rd party software, I'm heartbroken to find that my current cooler(a generic digital storm closed loop) was failing. My CPU was hitting 90 degrees on a gaming load. I ALMOST went to air with the 212, but I decided to stick with liquid. Boy am I glad I did.

This thing is amazing. The installation was mostly painless. As indicated in the photo, I chose the standard push pull set up in my system's exhaust. Due to their being limited space in my Carbide 300r, I had to contradict the manual and install the pump first. Smooth, painless. And because this case ROCKS(highly recommend that as well. Corsair just kicks ass) I did not need to remove my motherboard to install the back plate. I attached the push fan while the radiator was still loose. And then, as a lot of other reviewers have highlighted, I struggled with it a little to get the pull fan attached to the back of my case and to the radiator. But with smooth breathing, and steady hands, it only took me a matter of minutes and the pain was over.

When I got my PC hooked back up and hit the power button, I gasped audibly almost immediately; because of how QUIET my PC suddenly was.

This dropped my temperatures from 50 on idle and 70/75 on heavy load to 24 on idle to 40 on heavy load. I overclocked from 4.0 to 4.2 and it's now 32 on idle 44 on heavy load. Its like having ice on my cpu.

For the past 4 years, I've been running an i7-950 CPU (stock 3.06GHz) using the CoolerMaster V6GT air cooler. It has done a fantastic job, although when its stock fans would spin up to max RPM, it got quite loud. I recently upgraded to an i7-4790K. While the V6GT air cooler was doing a fine job as well, I felt like it was time to give AIO liquid cooling a try. Despite some mixed user reviews, I decided to give the Corsair Hydro H80i GT a try.

First, the pros:
- It looks sleek and sexy in my HAF 912 mid-tower case. The Corsair logo LED is a nice touch (and can be recolored using Corsair Link software), and the hoses are sturdy and refined-looking
- Although the radiator with two fans is bulky, it's (a) not nearly as bulky as my old V6GT cooler and (b) is mounted against the rear of my case, leaving the middle area of my computer more open for better ventilation.
- At idle, my temps are at least as good or slightly better than when I used air cooling.
- The included fans are higher-RPM versions of their SP120 fans, which do a nice job of push/pull through the very thick radiator
- Despite many posts complaining of pump and fan noise, I'm finding that my pump at performance mode setting is still pretty silent (I can only hear it if I put my ear next to my case). The fans, while not whisper quiet by any means, are surprisingly quiet considering their max RPM and 120mm size.

Now the cons:
- Installation was easy...until it was time to attach the radiator to the rear fan. It was one of the most frustrating exercises in needless complication I've experienced in a while.

Used this in my Z170 Mini-ITX build.

CASE: Silverstone Tek Mini SG13B
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte LGA1151 Z170 GA-Z170N-Gaming 5
GRAPHICS CARD:Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB
CPU: i7 6700k
CPU COOLER: H80i GT
RADIATOR REPLACEMENT FANS: Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition Twin Pack Fan
DDR4 RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB Kit (8GBx2)
SSD STORAGE: Samsung 850 2.5in 500gb
HDD STORAGE: HGST 7K100 2.5in 1TB 7200 RPM
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair CX Series 750 Watt

Has No issues with any of the parts and works well.

The SP120 fans fit perfectly as an upgrade over the H80i GT Radiator.

However due to space limitations, the upgrade only allowed only 1 fan installation.
I chose a PULL configuration.

THIS IS ONE AMAZING CPU WATER COOLER!!!

Software is great for monitoring Fan speeds and cooling.
