Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I love an ammonia. Is that weird? I've never used ammonia before and use learned of its uses. The smell is not as strong as I anticipated, but it does have a strong scent. I tried the suggested saucer of it in the oven overnight - I use an air filter overnight and that kept the fumes at bay. However, it was not as successful at cleaning as I had hoped. I'll try again, because it may have been "operator error".
I've added it to a squirt bottle with water and a couple drops of lemon oil to use it to disinfect the kitchen counters. Works like a charm. Next, I want to add it to the laundry to see the results. I feel like a kid in chemistry class, but enjoying the discovery!
I purchased James Austin Co. Ammonia to use doing fishless cycling for freshwater aquariums. The beneficial bacteria for the nitrogen cycle consume ammonia. I had been using a store bought bottle of ‘clear’ ammonia in the past. It worked great until it got used up on a glass cleaning project. There is a huge difference between the old bottle and the James Austin stuff. The amount needed to bring a gallon of fresh water up to .5ppm ammonia was 3 drops. The old bottle took nearly a tablespoon (+10ml)! This bottle will feed a lot more bacteria for biologic filtration. And it has no surfactants. I’m going to put some in a dropper bottle to make dosing easier. I use the API Freshwater Master test kit - the ammonia test works fine with this ammonia. Great Stuff!
I used this item to remove the stuck grime on my stove grates. I place about 1/4 cup in a ziplock bag and place each grate in there own bag and left them over night. Next morning the grime was easily rinsed off. Great product
I purchased this item because it is the only Ammonia still available in small bottles. Every store offers this cleaning product in "Super size" bottles only. Please keep on making small bottles for us "Old Folks" because they are much easier to carry around the house!
I needed some ammonia to add to dish soap as a way to remove a blood stain from my beige carpet after I accidentally stepped on a pierce of glass and got it stuck in my sock. The dabbing of these two ingredients saved my carpet and me from having to pay my landlord for scrubbing it later Definitely worth the effort.remembered to that my mother used me to clean hair brushed down and combs in ammonia and hot water to remove the oils it worked great for that as well
My daughter needed ammonia for science project at school. We couldn’t find it at any local store. The general janitorial store was too far for driving. Only Amazon carried it. We needed less than this amount. However, it turned out that the kids wanted to do the project more than once. They enjoyed the experiment and we had enough ammonia that really worked for the perfect out come. Thank you!
It's ammonia! What more is there to it? Well, as an aquaponic gardener, this ammonia is perfect for starting a new system cycle. With no additives and just plain ol' ammonia (with water of course) this brand is PERFECT for any new aquaponic gardener wishing to start a new system.
