I hadn't bought Pop Tarts for years, and I had been craving them. I typed Pop Tarts in the search field, actually looking for unfrosted, but all I saw was the ones with the icing. Since back in the day my favorite was brown sugar and cinnamon, that's what I got. They came in a heavy, sealed Amazon box, with 2 'store shelf' boxes, each with 8 silver packs with two Pop-Tarts per pack. 16 packs for a total of 32 Pop Tarts. I ate one twin pack each morning for breakfast, so they were gone in 16 days. I didn't bother putting them in the toaster. Looking back on the description page, it described them as crumbly pastry. Yes it was definitely crumbly. At the bottom of each silver foil pack were pieces that had broken off from the sides and corners. Sometimes crumbly as I ate them. At some point I decided to look further for Pop-Tarts with no icing. The way I had them growing up. I found that you actually have to type in "unfrosted Pop-Tarts" to get those choices. It appears the only flavors the unfrosted comes in is brown sugar cinnamon, Cherry, blueberry, and my least favorite strawberry. I have since ordered the unfrosted blueberry and I'm trying to eat them at a slower pace. I will not buy the Frosted again. I wish they had more flavors with the unfrosted.

If you need a review for one of the classic icons of breakfast (or elsewhen) snacking, buy a box of three pouches and try them. Many gas stations and college vending machines even sell them in individual pouches if you're worried about spending three bucks instead of one.

Just don't get them delivered, at least not via this route- go to a big-box discount club if you want a lot. The same care and handling isn't used with these as when shipped to supermarkets and such, and it shows. Many of the pouches had a gritty texture where jostling loosened off small bits of the outer crust, or a corner broken off. A few were so fragile that they split, including one that split as it was coming out of the toaster, requiring a spatula to perform surgery around the still-hot toaster coils to extract the other half.

I may get one or two like this out of similar bigger boxes from grocers, but nowhere near as bad as these. Save the hassle and headache when they aren't the usual full pastries you should expect.

Your asking me to review Pop Tarts.... Really? Their sweet, a great snack anytime of the day, and yummy... Great for anyone who is hopelessly single to eat at home while crying alone over that romance movie DVD you could never find a date to take you to when it was in theaters. Try them with a scoop of ice cream, or for that matter, since you're alone and nobody's watching; Put peeps, potato chips and chocolate between two and eat them as a sandwich! You can continue that healthy eating diet another day, and nobody's around to criticise your growing body. Bet Amazon is glad they asked me to review these now! BTW: If your mail carrier is anything like mine, you can expect them to have broken edges as they are sent in a box but are without pillow-packs or other padding, and when your mailman carelessly tosses them in front of your door, they will and do break... Hence the lost star. 😟

What can I say, sometimes when I was on the go, and had to skip breakfast, a large cup of coffee and a pop tart was a substitute till lunch.

The only bad thing about them is that they were previously available on subscribe and save, now the price has gone up and are not such a bargain anymore. so, minus one star for being unavailable.

These are great but I dislike the 2 big boxes inside this one big box . I’d prefer 4 so I can stash 3 from the kids and open just a 1/4 . My kids see that many pop tarts and start plotting . It’s like a sugar rush in a wrapper to a 3&6 yr old . Lol I find them in odd places not that I but this huge pack and have a larger package available to pillage and pilfer . Tiny hands and stools give this a 5 Star but I give 4 and I’m typing so I win
