I showed up late to the party and didn't know why there were two new Wolfenstein games out. This said Old Blood, so I thought I would start with it. I'm glad I did as this is actually a prequel to The New Order but came out a year after. So heads up on that.
Now I have been around since the first Wolfenstein and have played several others in the series. This game is a lot of fun and just looks gorgeous. In fairness, I'm still in awe of the next gen console graphics. The gameplay is solid and what you would expect from a FPS. I really enjoyed the story and I think they did a good job of mixing things up and giving the levels a different feel. I'm an achievement whore and this game had me searching every corner for hidden items so I can get those sweet sweet trophies.
If it wasn't for the story and environments I think this could have breached on monotonous action wise. This is true of any game especially a FPS. That said I did not get bored. There is a hidden nugget in each level that I found was an awesome surprise. Kudos to the developers for adding that. This game doesn't go for a lot nowadays so pick it up and play it already.
