These are not the standard hard plastic rings but instead the soft rubbery kind; they are a pretty light and flexible. The inside of them are actually open/hollow all the way around (see pic), but it allows them to sink pretty well despite their weight and material. They move along the bottom of the pool easily but it's a nice challenge for my teenage kids to search for. The video shows me tossing the rings in the center of my pools (approx 5 feet deep). You can see they sink fairly quickly.Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. I was expecting them to be the hard plastic style but these work pretty well too.
My son is 5 and just started formal swim lessons a few months ago. He was pretty nervous about being in the pool at first, but these really helped him become enthusiastic about swimming. The rings are in a set of 6 different colors. They sink pretty well, although you need to give them a few seconds to sink down because they're not very heavy. The colors are bright and easy to spot in the water. They're a great way to encourage kids to learn how to blow bubbles and put their heads below water, and also how to kick and dive downwards. I feel that they really helped him become more confident in the water because he saw it as a game. At first, he'd get one ring at a time - now he'll dive down and see if he can get all 6 at once. He also likes to share with the other kids at the pool so they all practice together. I highly recommend for any kid who is learning to swim and work on their water confidence.
Durable-kids (5 and 7) love playing with them. Negative is that they don’t stand up underwater, but they don’t claim to either. It hasn’t been a major issue with our boys. Colorful and easy to spot underwater.
A few weeks in, these are proving to be a great purchase. I think this design is superior to many others because it doesn't need to hold water to sink, thus it doesn't get funky inside and later make a mess in the garage. Inexpensive and they've survived at least a dozen pool parties so far. They dont appear to be fading at all despite the summer sun, and I may get another set as my daughter continues to work on her diving and swimming.
Overall, these are fun, but they sink to the bottom of the pool soooooo s l o w l y. I guess they're a little too lightweight. Also, make sure the white piece of foam stays in the ring if you want it to stand upright on the bottom. My child's friend took it upon himself to remove them, but luckily my kiddo got upset and found the white pieces and brought them to me.
We purchased these to help my 4-year-old daughter practice some of the things she's learning during her swim instruction. Not only has she really improved with holding her breath, because of these, she's also becoming more confident swimming and diving in the deeper side of the pool. A great and inexpensive pool toy to not only help with technique but fun for play time as well.

We used the diving rings all summer with no problems. They held up great. The only problem we had was losing them because other families, at the pool, had the same ones. I think next summer I will put colored tape on ours to help differentiate them.
I bought some rings which were joined together and after awhile they came apart. I thought these rings would be stronger since there is no joint they are one piece. However, the rings are a little disappointing because they do not always standup. There is a groove in the inner side of the ring and if they fill with air, then they will stand up, if not they will lie flat as shown in the photo. Note the red ring lying flat. Kids will have a harder time picking up the rings when they lie flat.
Como maestra de natación volvería a comprar, muy útil y atractivo para mis clases, lo único es que son semiduras y si no se tiene cuidado se pueden deformar
I use it in the pool and as a kids game on climbing walls. Comes with 6 in different high-vis colours. No fading or damage from chlorine and still strong after a year.
