I Prefer the Single Compartment Container

Disclaimer: I think meal prepping is a huge pain in the butt, and ultimately, in my dream life, I'd prefer to go out to lunch rather than eat at my desk with perfectly measured proportions while obtaining the fitness results I want. However, my reality that on every other occasion when I've tried to increase my physical fitness without making the appropriate changes to my eating habits, it fails miserably. I also got tired of putting so much work in at the gym and then self-sabotaging my "gainz" (had to throw in a little bro science) by being lazy about my diet.So, this year I committed to meal prep on Sunday nights, and in conjunction with my workout schedule. 5 weeks in, I am already positive changes in my body composition.For me, I found that part of getting the meal prep right, in addition to finding tasty receipes that fit my macros and that I actually look forward to eating, included finding the right meal prep containers. I've tried other meal prep containers, and inevitably, they all cracked after being put in the freezer, and their re-usability was questionable at best. There is nothing more deflating about meal prep when your meal container falls apart during transport, spills or leaks or otherwise doesn't make it without melting in the microwave.I ordered two sets of these meal containers - a 7 pack of single compartment containers and a 7 pack of the double compartment containers (separate review) to try what I liked best. For me, these single compartment containers suit my meal prep style. I liked the dimensions: Specs: 28 ounces Dimensions: 8.10" (L) x 5.45" (W) x 1.5" (H) (no lid) - add 0.75" to the height to include the lid.I also liked the fact that the single compartments have a more shallow profile for easier stacking in the freezer and fridge than the double compartment container. Although, ultimately, I think container design is simply really personal preference based on what you like to cook and how you like to trasnport. If I wanted to keep sauces separate or had thoughts on separating food groups, the bento style box could be more advantageous.My dislikes for the single compartment are few: I don't like the fact that the lids between the two single and double containers aren't interchangeable, and I don't like that it is hard for me to tell when the lid is sealedI've washed these, put them through the microwave and freezed a few times. Good results so far, and they certainly make meal prep less of something I dread doing.
