I was looking for a small tripod for my Sony Handycam. I wasn't even thinking about 'portability'. However, when I saw this tripod, I knew it was the one. First, it's under $8 delivered to my house. That's hard to beat! Second, along with being a desk tripod, one of the legs also functions as a pistol grip handle. Fold up the tripod, grab that handle, and you can comfortably walk around filming your favorite subject (car shows, for me). Great product, great value.
Will this support your full frame DSLR rig with telephoto lens? Probably not, but for what it's designed for it great.
Pros: + In the folded position the tripod legs form a nice little handle. + Legs rotate out quickly and provide a stable platform. + Head can ratchet quickly to a number of discrete positions Cons: - It's not the most compact folding tripod, but certainly faster to setup and more stable than others I've used.
I actually purchased to use with a laser line level and it works great and much faster than busting out the full size tripod. It would work great with a smartphone clip for photos if you want to avoid those selfie sticks.
This tripod is made of cheap platic. On top of been junk amazon which is the new custom send mr an open and returned item. Since the multimillionaire owners don't care how expensive gas is we jave 5o keep driving to UPS to return the junk.

When using as a handheld it fits nicely and is easy to use. AS a Tripod this is not stable and will not hold up much weight. can't really use it and over the return timeline so just another item for the unused camera item box.
The pistol grip is a great product, sturdy & lightweight. Weight is very important when it comes to holding photography equipment in one hand. This pistol grip does the job.
Saw this thing and thought it would be cool for my Stealthcam night vision monocular. Ordered it but didn't really expect too much for 5 bucks. Turned out to be pretty neat. Durable enough for a lightweight device but the adjustable neck is a bit flimsy (this is why only 4 stars). Perfect for what i needed it for. Worth the money.
