After reading everyone's mixed reviews, I felt like I needed to add my own review to the mix. I purchased this computer for a data-heavy individual at my company to use. He is generally running MS Office and Quickbooks concurrently, with the odd AutoCAD file or PDF.
We've had this computer for a year now without any major issues.

Please note: This computer is NOT a gaming computer. This computer is NOT a high graphics computer. This computer IS a workhorse. This computer IS a $500 mid level computer. You get what you pay for.

First of all, I love this computer. That being said, right off the bat it had a virus. When I called Amazon, they told me they could not help and sent me straight to Dell. So I called Dell and guess what? Keeping in mind, I only had the computer for one week, Dell told me it was a software problem (that came with the computer) and I would have to purchase the software warranty. They only guaranteed hardware for the first 30 days. So, a $470.00 computer ended up costing me over $600.00. Dell is a ripoff. They sell the computers cheap and then if anything is wrong it's a software problem that isn't covered by the warranty. Next time I'll have one built.

Overall, I liked the quality of the product. I needed a computer for mainly video editing and light gaming. It did an awesome job in editing, but lacked in gaming. It ran games like south park stick of truth perfectly, but when it came down to games that were heavy on graphics, it lacked tremendously. I couldn't run games like street fighter 4, even on low settings. You can't even upgrade the system hardware or overclock the cpu. Long story short, I returned it to amazon and built my own amd pc which was only $100 more than this pc and runs every game I tried on ultra (mortal kombat, street fighter v, grid auto sport, NBA 2k16).

I wish I had paid closer attention to the processor speed. They basically stuck a laptop processor into an otherwise powerful desktop. It works well enough for most of what I need it for, but I can definitely notice the sluggishness of the processor at times. My own fault for not doing better research but I was in a time crunch and it seemed like a good deal. I still think that for most of the components it's a good value just wish the processor was better.

Do not trust CP Deals. They clearly advertised a new Dell i3656. I only received a new tower with dents and scratches and a power chord. There was no keyboard, mouse or instructions. They claim the item was damaged during shipping but I know better. Lost money on the return shipping and I had to hurry up and buy another one at Best Buy since it was a birthday present

The Computer is fast quiet and perfect for a student or a gamer

I'm really not that crazy about this computer, - or it might be Windows 10 I'm not so crazy about. It's working - I can read my email, have been able to transfer my documents from discs. I may "grow" to like it, but Microsoft Outlook has little annoying things that prevent you from looking at your email all the time. I'm not a TOTAL computer moron, but this was not an entirely "intuitive" process. BUT - it is working, so I'm glad of that.

Seemed like a great computer. It is not. Loud as heck. Hard drive stopped so many times. Never really called for service. 2 TB is quite a large amount of space for images, videos, music, documents, etc. A year and a 3 months after we purchased this Dell, the hard drive died. Quickly got another hard drive at Best Buy, 2 TB, mounted Windows 10, replaced damaged HD. Called Dell, no warranty. Out of warranty service was $149.99 to just send the computer to them, open the tower, take a look at it, and replace the HD at an extra cost. Of course we did not send them the tower. Are you crazy? Of course not. So I bought WD HD 2TB, working with this new drive, just fine! Dell would not honor repair of HD or even compensation for new drive I had to buy. Stay away from this Dell computer. Dell NOT GOOD! Buy HP Slim tower, great prices, great performance. While the video card is great (DDR RAM is a bit slow to respond). truth is that this Dell is not the best choice out there. The service was not good or friendly either. We paid 579.99 around March 2016, and today (October 2017), it is going for about 688.00. We did not enjoy the experience with Dell. Not at all. So, would I buy another Dell? NO. NO, NO. NO. NO. Thanks, but no, thanks! So take you 688 and buy yourself an HP, ASUS, Lenovo, other brand computer, and you probably will save yourself the disappointment we got with Dell. No more Dells for us. Thank you.
