The cookie jar looks great on our kitchen counter and is as awesome as expected. The only reason I gave it 4-stars was because it does have some minor defects on it - for example the lid has a glob of paint on the very top and there are a couple nicks in a few places. Without these defects, I'd give the product a 5.

We like the jar, but it only gets three stars because of the following:
1. It is lighter (light gray) and less defined than in the picture. Unless the indent in the side that identifies it as the death star is facing out, it looks simply like a round gray jar.
2. The finger grips in the lid don't work well. My fingers slide out and I have to instead use both hands to lift the lid from the sides.
3. Cleaning out old cookie crumbs is difficult because the mouth has a lip on the inside that keep the crumbs from sliding nicely out.

Otherwise, it holds a whole batch of cookies, which was our main concern when looking for a jar. We needed it to be large enough.

I used a black ceramic paint and a think brush to paint in detail because I wanted it to look like the picture. Baked it at 300* for 30 minutes to adhere the paint and now I love it.

Ich habe mich sehr auf diese Keksdose gefreut.
Tatsächlich ist sie etwas heller als auf der Abbildung, was der Optik meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nichts abtut.

Ich finde sie sehr schön verarbeitet und man erkennt auch sofort worum es sich handelt.

Ich habe die Dose einem Freund geschenkt und habe sie vorher abgewaschen und mit Keksen gefüllt, die ich selbst gebacken und mit einer Form ausgetochen habe, die die Kekse wie Darth Vader Köpfe aussehen lassen.

Verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch. Der gute Freund, dem ich die Dose mit Keksen geschenkt habe ist an diesem Tag 26 geworden. Aber gefreut hat er sich wie ein sechsjähriger :D

Die Dose darf nicht in den Geschirrspüler, aber man sollte es denk ich hinkriegen, sie mit der Hand zu spülen.

Das Material ist recht dünn. Fällt die Dose runter ist sie hin.
Ich würde bei kleinen Kinder in der Wohnung empfehlen die Dose dort zu plazieren, dass sie nicht herunterfallen kann.

Mein guter Freund sagte mir, dass die Dose stehts reichlig gefüllt auf dem Couchtisch steht und er freut sich immernoch darüber.

Ich werde mir demnächst auch so eine bestellen.

A good novelty gift for any Star Wars fan but it's quite expensive, if you can share the cost and buy as a gift from two or more people that I'd recommend it.
The picture is a little misleading as the indents on my cookie jar were not blacked out and so it didn't pick up the detail on the surface or look as good.
The air tight seal on it is a little weak as well but it seems to fit. So it's a cookie jar that might not be used for cookies, but still a nice gift if you know they like Star Wars and they haven't told you what to get them!

Die Keksdose war ein Geschenk für einen Star Wars Fan und kam sehr gut an. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, der Deckel mit der Gummilippe schließt nahtlos und die Öffnung der Dose ist schön groß, so dass auch Männerhände beim Reingreifen nicht stecken bleiben.

Lediglich die Farbe weicht von den Produktfotos ab - der Todesstern ist tatsächlich deutlich heller und weniger plastisch bemalt - deshalb 1 Stern Abzug von mir, schön anzuschauen ist er aber trotzdem!

Fazit: Tolles, gut verarbeitetes Geschenk, würde ich definitiv wieder kaufen.
