PUEEN Latex Tape protects your skin from stamping, gradient and marbling messes, making cleanup a breeze. Or use it as a stretchy, flexible peel-off base coat, for those chunky glitter bombs. It's also fantastic for swatchers who need to remove polish quickly without the use of acetone between photo shots.

PUEEN Latex Tape has a mild ammonia odor which will go away once it's dry, dries quickly, peels up in ONE PIECE, and it will turn clear pink when it's dry! Our Latex Tape is just fun to use.

HOW TO USE

1. Apply to areas where you want free of polish.
2. Allow to dry for 1-2 minutes until it turns clear pink.
3. Now be creative and do your nail arts (stamping, gradient, marbling or etc.).
4. Rub edge of Latex Tape with your finger or tweezers and peel it off.

Thanks to the world of youtube videos, I discovered the magic of latex tape. Some people get really creative and use this when they are doing nail art, but I simply use it whenever I paint my nails so that I do not have to waste time going back in with nail polish remover (or running my hands under hot water so the polish on my skin chips off). This product does exactly what it claims to do: protects your skin against smudging from excess nail polish. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is that if you paint all your fingers on one hand with this tape before you go in and paint your nails, you have to be VERY CAREFUL that you do not have your fingers touch, if they do, the latex tape will stick together. You are then left with the choice of either keeping your fingers stuck together like you were wearing a mitten (very uncomfortable) or pull them apart. If you end up trying to separate your fingers, all the tape will come off together and now you have a ball of latex tape and unprotected skin. It seems it would be unrealistic to just latex tape one finger at a time and then paint, and repeat this process. So every time I use this, I have to latex tape my fingers multiple times because they end up sticking together and pulling off all the tape.

Great for Messy Nail Art!

I have seen and used several of these kinds of liquid peel off cuticle guards, and this is the best one! It is a latex base, so if you have allergies...stay away from it! However, if you don't this is great! It has a very nice feel, applies easily in a pink tone, and dries clear almost immediately. There is no real wait time to continue on with your sponging, stamping, nail art, etc...It's very easy to peel off in one piece! Nice and neat!!!

Good Latex Barrier for Price

I'm trying every liquid latex barrier that I've heard of no matter the cost to compare. So far I've only used three different ones: Bliss Kiss Simply Peel ($12.47), Kiesque Liquid Palisade Thin Brush ($14.00), and now this Pueen Latex Tape ($8.99). So I will be comparing the Pueen to the other two.

My initial thought when I first used this was that it was very liquidy. But that didn't seem to make much a difference for application. It went on smoother than Simply Peel and covered more area than the Kiesque (although that's because I got the thin brush).

The smell was terrible. They all have a fishy smell, but if I were to rate the smells on a scale of 5, this one would get a 2. If you are really sensitive to smells, I would suggest going for the Kiesque. I don't notice much of a smell for that one.

For the most part, I liked Pueen's latex barrier. I would rate it 5 stars, but I noticed that when I peeled it off after doing my nail art, some of the stuff stayed in my cuticles and I had to practically dig the little bits of latex out. There's not much of a purpose to liquid latex if it doesn't peel all the way off.

For now I use the Kiesque for my cuticles and then put the Pueen around that to avoid that issue. I haven't had any issues with drying too fast like I did with Simply Peel. If you don't really feel like shelling out $14.00 for Kiesque, this is a good alternative.

I have tried a different nail barrier called Simply Peel in the past and I decided to try this Pueen one.When I first used it, it seemed quite liquidy, but it was actually very easy to apply, better than simply peel in my opinion. It worked well too, about the same as simply peel. The reason this gets 4 stars, though, is because of the smell. It's TERRIBLE. All liquid latex has a fishy smell, but this is worse. I can ignore it, though, but if you're sensitive to smell I recommend spending a couple extra bucks and getting a different brand.

I was looking for a good liquid latex for my nails. I'd considered buying Simply Peel but that price was a little too high. The Pueen option is about half the price.

I have used glue and another brand of liquid latex (not sp). The glue took forever and the other brand peeled off in tiny little pieces. My hopes for Pueen weren't very high.

To my utter delight, it worked flawlessly! The brush is long and a little stiff, which is what you want. It's also skinny enough that I can get real close to my nail. The latex itself goes on opaque and dries to a clear hot pink color. The bottle says it takes 2 minutes but I found it took less than that. You can see it dry as you apply.

Make sure you have a good grip on it when you peel it, or it'll snap back and mess up your nail. Also, keep your fingers separate, otherwise they'll stick together.

Now it does have a smell. It isn't great but it isn't unpleasant either. It doesn't smell like latex, which surprised me, but it smells like something. I can't place it. It isn't strong, just... there.

Its okay, works but only with double coats

It actually sorta works well. You can see from the pictures that it didnt get everything but it did get alot. I still prefer the brush-acetone clean up method but this was fun to try. Only problem I have is that it stinks. It literally smells like iron or rotten dead fish. You go nose blind to it after a minute but the start is always unexpected.

Not a good product for nail art

Works ok but smells AWFUL. It's also thinner than similar products which makes it come off by accident quite frequently and sometimes it seems the nail polish goes through it.
