Bright, but disappointed on the color aspect..
So first time i review on amazon, well at least the first time i can think of, but i have amp research running boards for side steps to my 2014 chevy silverado 1500 LT.. the leds from amp research gave out and well i figured id replace them with these badboys.. i know its not meant for the running boards but they serve the purpose..First thing i noticed in the reviews, alot of people criticizing the wire and gauge of the wire, which yes, very thin.. so i have soldering skills so no biggie.. also they say theyre waterproof but when i had the lights in my hand, i for sure doubted they were waterproof, i feel water could make its way into the light no problem.. so i did some work on them myself.. i first changed out the thin wire and soldered on some 18g wire.. then i ran silicone along the edge between the led and the black rubber housing and the exit hole of the 18g wire on the back.. sealed them.. i then removed the old amp research leds and connected these new ones and used liquid tape at the jointing and heat shrunk both positive and negative joints and then heat shrunk them both together to get a very good water seal.. it was a pain to screw on to the sheet metal, and yes used a pilot hole first and tried the screws that came with them, more than sure not meant for that cuz they broke very easily, but again no biggie, i found some washers and sheet metal screws i had.. worked like a charm.. the amount of light given was/is worth the money, i didnt mind the extra labor i did to them.. honestly felt like is was a cool diy project..but reason for the lower amount of stars is cuz well on the drivers side i noticed the hue of the lights, not as white as i expected since thats what i ordered, blade white.. but i figured maybe its just the white the brand has, but when i opened my passenger side, right away i noticed, one light (the light on the left of the picture) was the WHITE i was expecting, then i realized that the other 3 (driver side lights and the front passenger, right light in photo) had a hint of purple/blue i suppose, again u cant tell if ur not looking for it, but i put these on myself and well i take pride in my work, so yea , disappointing really.. i would like for them to recheck their inventory but the boxes i received said BLADE WHITE but out of the 4 (ordered 2 sets) only 1 blade of leds was actually white, as seen in photo.. i would return them but dang, kinda already did my modifications to them.. so imagine if someone had these as DRL and the pair differed in colors.. so just heads up..

Superbright LED light for a very cool look on your car! Well-built. The rubber surround and backing is a bit thick but provides the necessary heat shielding for these high brightness lights. (Beware: Other similar yellow-strip bright lights do not have appropriate rubber insulation, and will burn your car paint because of the high heat when these are on).
I mounted these LED strips on top of my headlamp plastic assembly, and drilling tiny holes through the edges of the rubber strip mount to fasten them with the provided screws (see pictures). This will ensure that they will stay on if/when the glue backing begins to give, even after many car washes, etc.

Update Nov 2019: This is the second pair I've installed, and the lights burn-out after only 6 months of use! Removed one star because of that. (Still, they are so slim and flexible, that I have not found anything else as bright and easy to install. Will have to buy another replacement pair.)Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2018

Really awesome product, easy to install on project applications added them to my tool box with magnetic O/I switch. Really bright !!!! Good for DIY totally recommend
