Great paste for solder stencils
Used to solder surface mount components. The paste applies easily through a stencil and reflows well with a low temperature profile. The board was very clean after reflow with none of the little "sputter balls" I have experienced with other paste. With solder paste, a little goes a long way. There is enough in this syringe tube to do more than 50 of the boards shown in the attachment, to give you an idea of the volume.

    I think I am finally getting the hang of using this stuff. It definitely takes some practice but it has been so much better than trying to glue metal pieces together when I make jewelry. This is much stronger. Once I get better at this, I will be ordering more as it's much easier than traditional solder and holds better than glue. The paste comes out of the syringe fine, but be careful to only apply a tiny bit of pressure otherwise a lot will come out and you will waste it. I wish the syringe wasn't quite so sensitive, but that's probably me just getting used to it. Since it's bigger, that's part of the issue. This might work better coming in a few smaller syringes than one big one.

    I have never had any particularly good experience with low temp solder -- I think it might just be the nature of low temp solder to not flow as readily -- in that overall context, this low temp solder worked better than other low temp solders I have used in the past. It did not flow as readily as leaded solder, but perhaps that's just the nature of this type of solder.

    I did have to retouch one connection due to excess paste resulting in a short -- with higher temp and plenty of flux, it flowed well enough to clear the bridge.

    Unless I find anything else better in the future, this gets and deserves full 5 stars.

    I'm a beginner at soldering and I saw the great reviews on this product saying how good it was and easy to use. They were right. I soldered a new bios chip on my expensive motherboard to replace a bad one and this helped me do it right the first time. Flux transfers heat from the soldering iron to anything it touches. Motherboards have other very small components that are very close to where the bios chip is located and the last thing I want was to accidentally remove those with the bios chip and ruin the board by getting a bit of flux on them. It's consistency is not as gooey as other brands which made it easier to apply a very small amounts in only the right places. Since it's no clean, there was very little residue left behind. I highly recommend this brand.

    If you ever do electronic repairs, buy this now! I had been struggling to repair a perfectly good Samsung S4 phone with a failed power switch, using all my familiar tricks. Thin wire solder didn't work because it bridged the tiny connectors. Braided wick didn't work for cleaning up that mess. I worried about cooking the board, switch or nearby components. Then an expert friend casually mentioned this stuff so I decided to try it.

    Magic! First it lowered the temperature and surface tension of my solder glob so it was easy to clean up using just a low temperature setting on a variable soldering iron. Then I could easily paint on exactly the amount needed to make the connections without bridging them. A touch on each connection with the iron at low setting and it was done. This stuff easily paid for itself on this first job, and now it's in the fridge (note the short shelf life) awaiting my next amateur miniature electronics repair task.
