5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great LP
By Jones205 on March 4, 2016
The boys are back! 4 Years after the astonishing suprise of Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy Caws and Crew flesh out another great LP and expand on thier storied discography. There is something so inherently cool about this band that I always spat off as well if you dont like Nada Surf you're wrong. They are humble but intercontinental. They are reflective but tubthumpingly loud. No band from the mid 90s has grown up so well, stayed so true. The new disc is a little more quiet and not as front loaded as Stars sure. Still every line could be a novel and they still have the cohesion to swing out and make some noise. Cold To See Clear was a great preview to another fantastic set of tunes. New Bird and You Know Who You Are are right up there with the best of their catalog. This CD is harbor in the storm of the current music scene. Some will pass it by but the smart ones out there will gladly recognize the same lighthouse as before and pull in, tie up, and walk into the pub for a listen. Full play this one, a welcome rhapsody for tired ears.
