These are great measuring spoons! Plastic ones I've had before ended up looking old as they lost their luster and the measuring labels eventually wore off. Metal ones I've owned had handles that would easily bend and didn't come in a variety of sizes.

These spoons are a fantastic design. The metal is all one piece and super strong and durable, although they are a little thicker than I expected based on the pictures. I like that these have the measurement labels in English and metric, and that they are engraved so they will not wear off. I chose this set over other brands like them, because the brand is not on the handle, and having 8 different sizes is super convenient. I love the elongated design that fits into spice jars. I bought a second set for convenience when cooking. The only thing I would change is having them a little less thick, to be more like the measuring cups by 2 Lb Depot. But I love them, highly recommend, and will definitely buy as gifts!

They appear to be perfect... and I absolutely *LOVE* the leveler that came with the spoons!! I don't know whomever It was that thought to add it to the spoon set, but as a woman who cooks/bakes quite a bit... it is one of the most thoughtful 'additions' (to something that might appear to be so simple as to add it to a measuring spoon set) that someone could have done! It may not seem like very much to most people, but let me assure you that it is! Many million 'Kudos' to that person!! I would never hesitate to purchase from this company again. The quality is marvelous and I think I'm going to make a cheese cake right now just so I can use the spoons/leveler. Yup, that's exactly what I am going to do! "Happy Cheese Cake", every one! P.S. I decorated the cheese cake with canned cherries; covered the top in the glaze; in the center of the cheese cake, I placed 3 cherries in a bunch - added a couple green-leaf candies to the 'cherry-bunch' (you know, to give it that "Holly and Berries" look), added the rest of the cherries all around the edge. If you want to see a picture, let me know. I took a couple.
By the way, I loved how easy I could insert the measuring spoons into the spices I needed to complete the cheese cake and also used one to get the cherries out of the can (no mess - no fuss - just made it easy to get a cherry and not a lot of glaze...) It was easy to rinse/wash the measuring spoons as well (if I needed to use the same one again right away). LOVED that!! (I just hate it when I don't have a clean measuring spoon when I need it... I hate trying to measure ½ of a ¼ or ¼ of a ¼ - my mind doesn't work that fast any more :)

This set of 9 instruments for measuring spices and herbs is superior to any I have seen. They are sound, nicely weighted for holding, made of a wonderful metal, and are marked clearly on each one for easy viewing. The rectangular shapes fit perfectly into the containers . The ninth instrument is a leveler and that is such a clever way to level just the right amount into each measuring spoon. The ring that holds them together is easily opened to take out what is needed or can be used all in the hand to avoid misplacing them I am giving these to my daughter in law who follows recipes and measurements very closely and I am sure she will love these as much as I do. I recommend these to anyone who wants a superior set of measuring spoons for good looks and excellent functionality.

THESE ARE WONDERFUL.

1ST: Love the different sizes, THANK YOU for making it easier with the different choices. Love that fact it also has a 1/8, I know its a pinch but hey I like accurate lol.

2ND: These are so nice and sturdy. They have weight to them, meaning they are not going to bend and or break.

3RD: The measurements are ETCHED in so they wont fade or wash off, big plus!

4TH: THE REASON I WANTED THEM... They all fit, INCLUDING THE TABLESPOON, into my spice jars. Just for reference it will fit into a McCormick ground cinnamon (the big one) jar. which means they will fit in the smaller ones too, but if you want to know if it will fit your spice jar, as long as it is as wide as a McCormick opening you will be fine. There is even a little room too!

No more trying to get the spices to dump out in a round spoon, these fit in the spice jars and i couldnt be more happy!!

Looked good at first, but then I noticed the package said "Resale prohibited", which made me wonder about its provenance. They're collected in a ring holder that didn't link up in one if the 3 sets I bought, but I was able to bend it back to fit OK. The final straw was when I put it in the kitchen drawer, I noticed another set just like it that my wife had apparently just bought from Bed Bath & Beyond locally. That set was of much higher quality, it seemed, and was $4 cheaper.

However, the BB&B set was strongly magnetic, suggesting it's a lower quality material, and probably more vulnerable to corrosion. The Depot Premium set was very weakly magnetic, so could very well be 18-8 stainless steel as claimed. 18-8 is probably the most commonly used stainless steel, contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, and is corrosion resistant. It is an 'austenitic' type of stainless steel and so is not (or only very weakly) attracted by a magnet.

I'm going to wash both sets in the dishwasher to check for rust, and will also check both for calibration and report back. I have a laboratory graduated cylinder to use as a reference, so should have some good numbers tomorrow.
