I got the library and the sample code from github. Can't post a link, but search for "milesburton/Arduino-Temperature-Control-Library".
Note that I had to change the library to use parasitic mode, by flipping a hard-coded value in DallasTemperatur.cpp:
void DallasTemperature::setOneWire(OneWire* _oneWire){
_wire = _oneWire;
devices = 0;
parasite = true; // TODD
bitResolution = 9;
waitForConversion = true;
checkForConversion = true;
}
The example that I used was "simple", from that page. Look for "tree/master/examples/Simple" project.
Dimensions: the metal probe is just under 1/4" in diameter (15/64").
It's exactly 1" long to the plastic base.
That base is exactly 1/4" in diameter and is another 1" in length.
( they are not humidity sensors, but I wanted outside air, duct and environmental temperatures, to set the humidity setpoint for my project)
Also its a pull up 4K7 resistor from the data to the signal line. Not a pull down, trust me it won't work that way. Didn't burn anything up, but ymmv.
