Great build quality and perfect size.

This charger works great. This does not rapid charge the Nexus 6P/5X even though the screen will say "Rapid Charging" when I have it hooked up from the USB-C end. Using "Amperage" app, it shows that the Nexus 6P is pulling around 2.0-2.4Amps which is what the charger provides for specs. I have used the google supplied cable and 3rd party cable and all the cables pull the correct amperage. It doesn't rapid charge it but it will charge it like any other 2.4A charger so it works great for me.

I also used this to charge my ipad and it charges the iPad and Nexus 6P together without any issue. It does have enough juice to charge both from dead so I'm happy with it. I went with a 10,000 mah because of the size. wanted something small to throw into my backpack and this fit the bill. 20,000 mah would be better but too big for what I need. I travel a lot and I haven't had an issue with TSA.

Build quality is great. Nice aluminum matte finish and feels great. It gets tossed into my backpack with a bunch of other items and it still looks good. I like that it's simple with 4 LED to tell you it has 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, OT 100% charge. The USB-C port can be an input or output, micro USB is input and USB-A is output.

I like the Orico because it has a USB-C and perfect size to throw into a backpack. The size of the battery pack is about the same size as a Nexus 6P which is also about the same size as the iPhone 6+. It's a little bit thicker but not a lot.

Premium design that delivers as promised

Full disclosure, I was provided with a sample in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Type C powerbanks are still hard to come by, and most of them out there are massive. This Orico powerbank caught my eye because of the slim design that could fit in my pocket without a huge bulge. The Orico checks these off with a slim, premium build and both USB C and A outputs. The aluminum housing sets this bank apart from competitors right off the bat, and while it seems like a small detail the LED lights are soft with a great color to them. They are dim enough to not be a distraction in a dark room, but you won't be shielding the sun to see them outside. The bank itself has a good weight to it and is only slightly bigger than the Nexus 5X, so it easily fits into a pocket, bag or purse. It's not quite small enough that I wouldn't notice it, but at 10000mAh I wouldn't expect it to be. It has a microUSB input and type A output, as well as a Type C input/output. The device charged my Nexus 6P for 3 nights before running out of juice on the 4th; the phone was around 20% the first two nights and about 40% the third when going on the charger. While this may not get a power user through a weekend getaway, it is plenty to get you through even the heaviest of days. I do have two small issues, however. The first is that this device only outputs at 5V/2.4A over the USB C port, and not the full 5V/3A the Nexus devices are capable of. This is clearly stated in the product description, so while a slight disappointment it was not a surprise. The second is that once the device fully charges the powerbank shuts off. This in itself is a good thing, so it does not overcharge your phone, but the problem comes in that when the phone was plugged in and not charging it caused a USB OTG wakelock. The charger was keeping it awake all the time, draining the battery faster than it should. It only drained ~3% an hour, but on the first two mornings I woke up to my phone in the low 80s because of this. This can easily be mitigated by taking your phone off the charger when it is full, or more likely when it is close to full, but I docked it a star for this issue that I have not seen with other powerbanks. Overall though, this will likely be my go to day-to-day powerbank for the slim, sleek design.

I purchased it to charge 2016 12" Macbook and like other USB-C power packs it delivers 15W (go to About This Mac in Apple menu, then System report, click Power and scroll to bottom, see under "AC Charger Information"), which is about half what Apple's desktop charger delivers (29W). This means that it will trickle charge the Macbook and for most time (depending on the load on computer) it will show that it connected but it is not charging the Macbook, the internal battery level on the Macbook will remain the same, so make sure that you have 20% or more of battery left before you start using it. I would assume if you are put heavy load on Macbook, internal battery level may go slightly down, but slower than without external battery pack. It charges Macbook OK when it is sleeping or it is turned off.

Battery pack is slim, but its construction is not the best. USB port panel looks less polished than the body of the charger and there is about 1mm to 1.5mm gap between USB connector panel and cable casing which always makes me wonder if I have plugged the cable all the way in (I tried to push cabled little bit more in, and the cables don't go in any more). This is the case for USB-A and USB-C ports.

It will charge 12" Macbook to 55% from empty battery.

I like this compact Type-C charger for my Nexus 6P

Great size for a USB Type-C charger. This will nearly fully charge both my girlfriend's iPhone 6+ and my Nexus 6P, and is a nice size. Both of them it will do the fastest charge on. By the numbers, 10KmAh should do more than that, but compared to other chargers it seems about right.

I had also gotten the Anker 20KmAh for a trip, and it was great but just tooooo big. This was a nice alternative and I'm kind of glad I have both.

Great Power Bank!

I purchased this power bank about 8 months ago and have used it weekly about 3-5 days a week and it has performed like it should. I use it with my Nexus 6P and will charge the phone 3-4 times on a single charge, which is great. I give it a full charge and take it to work and throw it in my clip board and plug my phone in when I need it. It has not let me down a single time (again I use it the most 3 days in a row with out charging it) Its a little smaller than my phone in length and just a little thicker. I like the power button to let me check how much power it has left. Now the one thing is you have to turn it on when you plug in your phone. but the great thing is if you unplug your phone in a rush it cuts off automatically. For $28.99 for this power bank is a great value when it comes to a dead phone, and being able to not have to worry about it being dead for 3 days is perfect for me.
