I was skeptical only because of the price. In jeep magazine these go for $100+ and when I saw these under $50 for both, you know what I was thinking. Are these hollow and junky.
Well hell, they came in and I was blown away the box weighted a ton, not actually a ton but very heavy.
Easy to install and tight, firm feels and looks fantastic.
My only dislike is what the handle has written on it "Wild Boar" I will get over that.

Ok. I just finished the install of these grab handles. There are no instructions, but if you're any kind of Jeep guy or gal, you can figure it all out pretty easily. THAT SAID, the one issue I had is that one of the sleeves that the bolts pass through, was NOT drilled through properly. It looked like the 6 year old kid in China was tired that day and stopped at the midway point, leaving a ridge in the center that would not let the bolt pass through. I fired up the drill press and finished drilling through the sleeve, BUT you should NOT have to finish the factory's job for them. As far as the grab handles, THEY are great, solid and my wife loves them SO much better than the flimsy factory nylon handles. I dropped one star because of the sleeve issue, but if someone doesn't have the tools to fix the potential problem (all sleeves may not be this way) you would be returning this (and cussing)

Easy installation, but....

I read most of the reviews and have to say I think I know the problem some have had with mounting these.

You are driving two bolts into two different angles at different heights, so, you must attach the upper bolt first with only a turn or two with your fingers only and then attach the lower bolt, again with only a turn or two with your fingers only. You will have to move the grab bar around quite a bit to get the lower bolt to line up, but it is doable. Take your time and DO NOT use a wrench until you have about three full turns on each bolt, then alternate between the two until tight. I recommend using a t handled hex wrench. Installation takes about 5 minutes. The bolts to be removed from a 2014 Wrangler will be ½" and the hex bolts in the kit are 6 mm.

I tried the bars on both sides, and the drivers side kind of took to one of the bars but the passengers didn't take either bar.. I am sending it back for a full refund, I hate this didn't work out the bars look awesome they just don't work on my 13" Wrangler Jk....

The handles themselves are great build quality, but I would recommend getting a set of grab bar handles that use a screw system that isn't spacer based... these bolts provided were the incorrect size and were wobbly when installed.... I had to macgyver a bunch of washers and buy a different set of bolts from lowes to make it a sturdy fit

I installed these today. It took about 45 minutes total. The hardest part of the install is removing the existing screws from the Jeep. Apparently the guys that build the Jeeps put an adhesive around the screw before they screw it in. Anyway, the angles on the screw holes and juggling the heavy grip, the large offset pieces and the screws if tricky but I discovered that if I got the top screw started first it would hold the weight while I positioned the side screw. Then when they get close you just alternate tightening the two until everything is snug. They look great and feel very solid.
