This PCIe riser cable works perfectly with the Thermaltake Core P5 Case, and EVGA GTX 1080 SC. No more boot errors, benchmarks work, and I can even OC without issues. It seems a lot higher quality than the one provided by Thermaltake, and is shielded well. The only problem is that one of the screw holes doesn't line up exactly with the P5 case mount. I ended up using the screw on the side with the PCIe latch, and a zip tie on the other. Not ideal, but it works, and doesn't wiggle. Was also able to verify that it is running at full 16x and PCIe Gen 3.0.

One thing I made sure to do this time is not have any drastic bends, and to not bend anything near the connectors.

I spent a good deal of money on a Core P5 case and one of its boasting points is that it allows you to set your GPU on its side as shown in the pictures below, which is a great way to show off the cooling shroud. Well, the riser cable included with that case looked nice and seemed of quality build, but it was evidently not working as intended and upon googling it there were many other people struggling to make it work, so I was forced to plug my card directly into the PCIe slot after being hyped up for that. Disappointed and feeling a little regretful, I then looked online and saw that the only other black riser cables were either the expensive one from Lian Li, or they were too short for my setup. Then this one snuck in and I only saw it via Amazon's recommendation, and quickly purchased it after seeing the positive reviews.

Well, it works. Beautifully. I had a few hiccups, which had me worried I was going down the same road as the version that came shipped with the Core P5; screen going black and not responding, Nvidia drivers not functioning properly and only allowing basic resolutions, and even freezing up computer when attempting to reinstall drivers. After that, I configured my primary PCie 16x to Gen 2 and it worked flawlessly afterward and has since been working with no issues.

It has a very nicely-designed black PCB with gold accents and it matches my mainboard perfectly. It does have a bit of a wrinkling effect when moving the cable around, but that's to be expected with riser cables. It's probably easily fixable, but the advantage of having everything in black means I can't see it anyway, especially with the lighting in my room. Which leads me to the final part, the pictures.

Great quality cable at a great price. Well constructed and reinforced in critical areas. It was shipped from China but it got here a lot quicked than I expected. If you buy a Thermaltake Core P5 case this is the cable you want if you are running 2 video cards. I have purchased several different cables from different Amazon vendors and did not get a good result. Sent multiple cables back because they did not work at all. This cable worked perfect the first time. And it looks like its sheilded to boot. I recommend this vendor for fast shipping and a quality product.

I had purchased two cheaper PCIe Riser cables. One would not even allow my computer to boot with a XFX 6870 Video card loaded and the other booted but could not display graphics other than the basic desktop. So after reading the reviews of this cable I thought this would be my last try to get my dual card setup working. The cable arrived yesterday and I tested it with my old 6870 video card. It ran Heaven 4.0 without issue on the 6870 in my test bed. So today was the final test with the power hungry AMD R9 295 X2 and yes as I type this review It is successfully running heaven 4.0 on an old ASUS P6X58 PCIe 2.1 compliant motherboard. The screen res on this test system is only 1400 but this is running at a virtual Super resolution of 2560 X 1600. With regards to build quality I read some reviews that stated this is cheaply made. I have to completely disagree both cable ends support locking and the cable is sheathed in a foil wrap that looks better than just ok.

Seems to run fine with my new PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V5P512BW)
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01639694M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Had an issue with a screw, that I thought should have fit the post for securing the SSD on the PCIe card.
I did get one that would attach the card to the case of my computer but not the right size for the post.
I contacted EasyDiy, they apologized for the inconvenience, saying it should have been included.
I received a $5 refund from them.
I did find a screw that fit, though it took me a while.

The cable was a bit finicky and caused a lot of crashed after first installing it. I wound up messing with the bend of the cable quite a bit and reseating it a few times and it eventually worked as expected. I am not sure if that is just the nature of these types of cables, but I would probably try something else in the future to see if the cable worked without so much fuss.
