E04-039 Injector Tester 4 Pluse Modes Powerful Fuel System Scan Tool, Can help diagnose injector problems, you can use it to test each injector individually to help identify stuck, leaking or burnt-out conditions

Injector Tester has 4 pulse modes and in the continuous working mode (mode 4), it can help you identify the injector good or not when you switch off the engine.

Fuel Injector tester can be work together with any fuel pressure tester;Please NOTE: Gasoline car only, NOT the diesel engine

4 modes

Mode 1: the tester outputs 1 pulse, whose pulse width is about 250ms
Mode 2: the tester outputs 50 pulse, every pulse's pulse width is about 7ms
Mode 3: the tester outputs 100 pulse, every pulse's pulse width is about 3.5ms
Mode 4: the tester outputs pulse continuously at the rate of 50 pulses per about 1450ms, every pulse's pulse width is about 7ms

Operation Instruction:

1.Turn off the vehicle’s engine.
2. Connect the black clip to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery, connect the red clip to the positive terminal of the battery.
3.Locate the fuel injector which you want to test, then remove the electrical cable from this injector and connect the tester’s two pulse output terminals to the electrical connector of this injector.
4.Press the MODE SET key to select the desired pulse mode, the display shows the current pulse mode.
At any time, you can press the PULSE key again to stop outputting pluse.
5. After you have selected the desired pulse mode, press the PULSE key.

Injector Tester Operation Instructions:

Turn off the vehicle's engine
Connect pulse output terminal to the fuel injector
Connect Black / Red Clip to the Negative / Positive terminal of battery
Press the "MODE SET" key to select the desired pulse mode
Press the "PULSE" key, tester will output pulse to the injector, and then the pulse signal indicator will light as indication

The cables are just at 14 inches long each. Not sure if China knows that American cars have big engines and a lot more engine bay area. I will add more wire to make this work. No worry about there 6 month warranty which that gave a laugh in the shop. This unit really just needs one function. The scanner is better for monitoring the pulses to see them visually.
Update
This thing is in the landfill. So glad China made this. Make me appreciate the few things that are made quality in the USA.

I used this to test the injectors on my jeep and found that three had uneven pressure drops. I used the short and medium pulse to do the testing. I have a 2000 Honda and just had to put a guage on the fuel filter and cycle the key switch to pressurize the lines to do the testing. My only complaint is the wires for the battery/power were a little short and it worked because I had a 4 cylinder but if it was a v6 or v8 then it would not work. Unless, you add to the wires yourself. Otherwise, it was worth the money and I would recommend it.

Great little tool for doing an in-vehicle injector balance test. Works perfectly! For the price I paid, I don’t mind making extensions for the overly short test leads. Or the disconnecting from the battery to change modes. I figure if they added features to fix this, the price would probably double. The more expensive brands out there don’t have the continuous feature that this one does. To me, that’s basically an injector cleaning mode. You really can’t ask for anything more and expect to get it at this price!

This unit works well on many injectors. I have used it on GM and Ford so far. Very repeatable. After giving each injector multiple pulses to verify, I would say each one gave identical results so there was no worries as to the units quality and effectiveness. Bad injector gave the same PSI rating each time as did the good ones. It does not work on GDI injectors but for the price its a must have tool.

Worked exactly as described. You have to make your own adapters to fit your injectors. I expected that. Just checked my 2008 Ford Ranger 4.0 #5 misfire, PO305, and found the injector is just fine. The connector hold down clip is broken so it was not on tight on the injector. I compared it to two other cylinders and the injector fuel bleed down pressure was exactly the same. No need to take everything apart and replace the injector! Yah!@!! Just need to get a new connector for #5 injector and replace the old one.

I would have given it 5 stars but I had to disconnect it from the car battery every time to change the mode setting. Each mode did work. I made a wire adapter so I could connect to bosch fuel injectors. I found my bad injector. There are some good YouTube videos that show you how to find the bad injector without having to remove the injector.
