I bought this card on the 5th July 2016. This card was delivered to me on the 15th July 2016.
I bought it to replace my old GTX 770 Gigabyte 2gb card. Very easy to install. I was lucky that my previous card was using a 6+8 pin for power, so I didn't have to do anything special other than slot everything in. The monitor resolution I have is 1080p at 60Hz. This card easily maxes it out on every game I have (Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, etc.)
I love the quiet function of the fans (they don't spin until the temperature rises over 60 degrees Celsius). I recommend putting this card on silent mode using the MSI gaming app, so the fans stay quiet. The extra overclocking doesn't make a huge difference in frames and I value having a quiet PC as more important.
It was very well packaged with the graphic card being contained in an anti-static bag which I put my old graphic card in after installing my new one.
Negative -> The RGB MSI logo is stuck on the default 'white' colour configuration without the use of the MSI gaming app. To clarify, you must have the MSI gaming app open in the background in order to actually change the colour of the MSI logo. So if you close the application, it will return to white.
My computer specs are i7-4770 (3.4Ghz), Hyper 212 EVO, 16GB Hyper X Fury DDR3 RAM (1600Hz), 750W power supply and the new graphic card. My case is the Corsair SPEC-02 Red LED Mid-Tower Gaming Case.
Overall, I definitely recommend this card to anyone interested in buying a GTX 1070.

Friend purchased me this video card and I wanted to do a review. Basically is it was a decent upgrade from the previous video card that I had, which was the MSI GTX 970. Didn't really need the upgrade because based on all the benchmarks, the 1070 outperforms the 970 by about 54% and its not to far off from the 1080 which is about 62%. Whereas the 970 was about 2 years old but I purchased it in late 2014, by getting this video card, I just solidified my gaming performance for the next couple of more years until the next best thing comes along and I am ready to upgrade my entire rig. My buddy whom purchased this gpu for me is upgrading from a GTX 740 so this is a magnificent upgrade for him and I know that he will truly enjoy the difference in graphics!
The card has beautiful led lights all around. They are located on top, side and bottom. The bottom lights are only red but the side and top can be adjust to whatever color scheme you prefer. It has two fans that can be set to come on when the card reach certain temps or it can be set to stay on. The GPU is big! I do not recommend this to anyone whom is using a small PC case. This is made for an atx mid size or better. I even think the midsize might be cutting it kid of close.
The software alone make this unit ideal to have. It comes with MSI afterburner, Gaming App and Dragon eye. All of these apps are easy to install and use and make it essential for gaming and monitoring your video card. I really recommend MSI video cards simply because of the software alone. They are constantly updating and making it easier to utilize with the onslaught of games always coming out. Other companies like Asus and EVGA are good too but I just find MSI to really put a lot into their GPU and that's all I want.Read more ›
