Used this to power a large 12V radiator fan being used to exhaust a small generator shed. The fan needs close to 200W to start the fan and 80W-100W constant while running. Since there were multiple outputs I added a couple 12V LED COBs for internal lighting in the shed as well. While the claim is "rainproof" I would NOT allow this to have direct contact with any weather. There is a gasket of some kind for the top panel but the fan slits would make me worry about water ingress. Also, the plastic peice that covers the screwdriver holes is not very soft and seems like it would not make a watertight seal. 500W is a fair amount of juice so I would personally make sure this is protected from direct moisture. I am pleased with the purchase provided it holds up and it was a great price.
