This is a fantastic briefing. The hosts are very personable and I have learned something almost every day. Be warned: if you like this, you just might start listening to their podcast as well.
On the Alexa side of things: the sound quality of the app matches most other briefings. It doesn't have bouts of volume change. There's just one of these a day, so if you listen to your briefings twice or more, just skip through it.
Just a commercial for TWiT. I gave it a couple of months but it is just a rolling promo. On the weekends, they just play a sample of a random podcast that really does not tie into or relate to the tech news of the week. This skill is worthless
Disabled because TWiT started including ads in what should be just a fast briefing of the day's tech news. I love some of the shows on their network, but not enough to put up with this. The ads felt quite intrusive. They were long commercial ads (not even the hosts selling a product). Even without the commercial ads running, this was just an ad for their daily news show. I wanted a run down of the tech news with an actual summary of each story. Instead this was just the hosts giving you the headlines and telling you to come listen to their hour long podcast every day if you want to hear any details of the story. No thanks. It seems like they want to put zero effort into making this Alexa skill great. I hope they figure it out eventually so I can reenable the skill.
When I first installed this skill, I would have given it 5 stars for how it added tech news to my daily briefing. However, they have begun to add advertising prior to the briefing, and these ads keep getting longer. Today, an ESPN ad for basketball was almost the same length as the briefing, which was the last straw. I recommend just skipping this skill.
