Simply ask Alexa to play a TED talk on any given subject and like magic, wisdom begins to emanate from the walls of my home. While it does lack the visuals speakers use to bolster their points, it is satisfyingly reassuring just to listen.
I love being able to have TED Talks on my Echo. However, the program does not resume talks; each time I pause the program it starts back at the beginning. This needs to be fixed for it to be truly useful.
So far I've only asked for the funny talks. Great way to pass the time while getting ready for work and to wind down after a long day. If you enjoy humor as well as learning about a variety of subjects, you must try Ted Talks. Begin with the funny subjects. You won't be disappointed. Also, if you want to, you can ask Alexa to skip to the next talk. But so far I haven't asked her to skip because I'm thouroughly enjoying all the talks so far.
I'm really excited about this skill but I'm having trouble playing videos that I come across during the day and want Alexa to play. It would be nice if I could just say "Alexa play a video from my likes videos" or "play a talk from my watch later list". If I can already do this I haven't figured it out yet 😕.
This is one of my favorite skills on Alexa. It would be better if the talk selection can be filtered with more choices, such as time. Currently, Alexa doesn't understand me if I say "launch ted talk and play a talk that's less than 5 minutes".
