Look No Further - These Bluetooth Headphones Have It All!
From PHAISER, the Choice of 400 Thousand+ Music Lovers
Hey there!
Imagine a wireless headset that sounds even better than wired… One that wouldn’t slip out during workouts (or while sweating under the hot summer sun)... Or hurt after hours of listening to your favorite tracks (with the volume at 11)…Imagine a wireless headset that knew you so well, it would give you the perfect, comfortable fit every time you put it on… And hit you with the just right amount of bass to power your next run or workout...
Those Buds Have Finally Arrived! Now You Can Live Loud With The Phaiser Strobe BHS-750
Our team of Swiss sound engineers teamed up with music lovers and athletes to create the perfect headset for those who love intense soundtracks to go along with their intense workouts. These buds feature 8mm speakers that deliver HD audio fine tuned for a listening experience so crisp and clear you’ll swear you’re listening live. And you’ll be able to play it loud, as your earbuds have been specially designed to pump out more bass and more volume without distortion.
Surprisingly Comfortable
Our test groups were blown away by the sound quality our engineers were able to produce, but what they didn’t expect was that earbuds with such high quality audio would be so comfortable to wear. The only people that weren’t surprised were our audio engineers, who determined that the patented Comply T-400 memory-foam eartips were the perfect compliment to their design, and insisted that we include them in the final product. They even threatened to hack the coffee machine if we didn’t listen. Based on the awesome feedback we’ve gotten from customers - we’re glad we did!
Connection Perfection
It’s probably happened to you...you leave your player on the other side of the room or worse - put it in your pocket - and your music crackles and disappears. Our audio engineers affectionately refer to these sets “impotent earbuds”, and were determined that ours wouldn’t meet such an embarrassing fate. After 13 rounds of testing, we can finally say we’ve perfected the Bluetooth connection. Depending on your surroundings, you can expect 30-40 feet of uninterrupted, flawless sound.
Hands Free Calling
We know you’re busy - so forget about interrupting your routine to answer a call. The BHS-750 lets you switch between music and calls with the push of a button, and our specially designed mic reduces background noise to make conversing easy even in noisy gyms or out on the street.
Lifetime Sweatproof
Any athlete (or anyone who’s worn their buds on a hot summer’s day) knows that a single, well-placed drop of sweat can ruin an otherwise good headset. We’ve got you covered there too. Each Phaiser headset comes with a water resistant hydrophobic nano coating.

Ok, I realized I was wrong about a few things and these have really grown on me since. I was able to compare them to a high-end set of JBLs which gave me some needed perspective. I added a star:
1. The sound quality is much better than I had originally believed (better than the JBLs), I think I was just used to bass-ier wired headphones. With proper tuning these are more than adequate for gym / running. I still prefer the sound of my wired-headphones.
2. While I'm still super-annoyed with the double-tap to skip function this seems to be commonplace among BT headphones (why the most common function is not the most simple operation is beyond me) so I feel that I really can't hold this against Phaiser.
3. I fixed the "sound output channel issue" with the smaller tips, they're still a bit uncomfortable but I would say the weight is a much bigger issue than the diameter of the earpiece.
4. The remaining issue for me is the weight. These are much larger and heavier than the JBLs I tried and it's amazing what a difference the weight makes. I'm considering buying a higher-end pair just to reduce the weight / bulk in the ear. If Phaiser makes a similar model with no magnets, a shorter chord, and a smaller battery for runners I would pick it up real quick.
My sincere apologies to Phaiser for my earlier review, I hope I caught this in time not to dissuade a customer. I would recommend you give these a try, just know that you're trading a bit of comfort for a 7-8 hour playtime (which is a good positive!).
UPDATE:
After using these daily for a few months I have a few more notes:
1. The microphone buttons DRIVE ME NUTS (I mentioned below). I've found that double-tapping too quickly results in a single volume increase while too slowly results in two volume increases as opposed to the desired skip. Meaning it takes timing to skip your song, not too fast, not to slow. I feel like %^&$*# goldilocks trying to skip a song.
2. After trying better-quality Bluetooth headphones these are really bulky and heavy, I would gladly trade the magnets and a few hours of battery life for a lighter device.
3. The "sound output channel" (the cylindrical piece of the headphone that is closest to your eardrum while being worn) is slightly too large, either that or the tips are too big for me, my ear-canals feel slightly stretched out while wearing these (very minor discomfort).
You get what you pay for, these are $10 headphones with $20 of Bluetooth tech attached to them. Having said that, I'm fine with the quality at the price point and think that the price is fair for what you get.
This is my first pair of wireless headphones and I really think the technology is great, if you're on the fence about wireless headphones I would most certainly recommend you give them a try, I wanted a cheap pair to try out the technology and I don't think I'll be going back to wired headphones.
PROS:
1. Bluetooth connects very quickly and reaches across my (small) gym, even through the dividing wall when my phone is ~10 yards away!
2. People can hear me clearly on phone calls even with the chord over the back of my neck and the microphone next to my neck
3. Battery life is all day, if you plug them in every night you'd be challenged to drain them.
4. They came with a lot of accessories / tips that are nice for getting your fit right.
5. They will not budge on a run! Far less chord noise than traditional headphones.
CONS:
1. Bass support is lacking in my opinion, sound quality is not bad but think $10-$15 headphones.
2. The controls on the microphone drive me nuts. you double-tap up/down to skip/restart a song while a single press will incrementally increase / decrease the volume. Skipping is a far more common operation in my mind and should be the single press, while volume adjustment should be a hold / double press. I constantly turn my volume up when attempting to skip a song, and the double-tap can be difficult to execute while running (not sure if this is standard to 3-button microphones).
4. The batteries on the buds are bulky, I tried these under a ski helmet and the fit was not comfortable because the tips extended well beyond my ears and were pressed into my head by the helmet (wired buds were fine). If you want to use these under any kind of ear / head protection forget about it. I would much rather have half the battery life and half the profile than the current configuration (I would think a bicycle helmet would be fine).
5. There is no auto-off function that I've found, these will stay on until the battery dies whether or not there is signal being transmitted to them.
(If the headphones are not connected to BT they will power off after a considerable time (I don't know how long))
6. The microphone is on the right side and I feel it would be much better on the left so that I could reach across for control, this is specially true while running, mostly a preference thing.
The Phaiser BHS-750 has a simplified equalizer that allows you to change between three settings. Long pressing the volume down and up simultaneously toggles between the settings. (thanks to S. Nemesure for pointing out this feature).
Since the introduction of the iPhone 7, the availability of Bluetooth headsets has grown exponentially across all price ranges. Like with wired headphones, choosing the most suitable has become increasingly difficult with the availability of choice. One person's idea of value varies completely with the next person's. how does one compare a top of the range of $500 headset with those that cost $20. To simplify this decision, I have created a multi-criteria model, using 16 criteria. Each of the criteria is scored with a maximum of 10, and each of the criteria is given a weighting according to its relative importance. Some of the criteria have an arithmetic weighting, while others are simple arithmetic weight. To date, I have conducted evaluations on six different Bluetooth headsets.
The score for the Phaiser BHS-750 is 487. The table below sets out the different headsets that have been tested, and provides a score for each. Below that is an explanation for each of the criteria.

Evaluations are naturally subjective. Technical products have numerous criteria, and these have relative importance. In looking at Bluetooth headsets, sound quality is far more important (at least for me) that looks. Some of the criteria, like sound quality and price that have values that change exponentially. This evaluation is part of a test using a number of different headsets from different manufacturers, with prices ranging from $20-$200. To provide equivalence, 16 criteria have been used, each with its own weight. Three of the criteria, sound, price and durability use a geometric scale. Although the model is complex, the result produces a single score for each headset, that simplifies comparison.
Within each of the criteria there are factors that have affected the evaluation. These are set out in more detail below:
Sound
Sound is complex. I'm not an audiophile. I prefer the sound to be as close as possible to the original, rather than enhanced. That said, it should be rich. Because sound is so important, the waiting is on a geometric scale.
Support
When a product fails, the evaluation of the support is based on the response. Otherwise, the availability of an online manual and the technical details provided on the website is used as a proxy.
Price
Price is scored inversely, with low prices scoring more highly. The prices are ranked using $25 increments, and weighted geometrically.
Quality
This is the measure of the materials used, including the body, cabling, buttons, earpieces and packaging, where applicable.
Durability
The measure of durability is difficult to determine in the absence of more rigorous and extended testing. To some extent, durability can be determined looking at the quality of construction. Some of the products failed or broke, and this provides clear evidence of the durability. All the Bluetooth products are reliant on built-in rechargeable batteries, and this has a direct impact on the lifespan of the product. Only those products that have a cable as an alternative input can be expected to have an extended lifespan.
Looks
This is a very subjective criterion, and has been given a low weighting.
Comfort
There are a number of factors that affect comfort. Fit is particularly important. The in ear headsets are evaluated taking consideration that the earpiece need not be forced into the ear to ensure good noise isolation, and that even with extended wear, do not become uncomfortable. Ideally, the fit should ensure that the headset stays securely in place. Similarly, the over ear headsets should not cause any discomfort. Over ear can cause the wearer to feel uncomfortably warm in temperate climates, and this is also affected into the scoring.
Ease-of-use
Binding, switching on and off, and charging are all included in measuring ease-of-use.
Battery life
A 15 hour long distance flight is used to define the full score for battery life.
Controls
Buttons that are used to switch the device on and off, switch tracks, and bind are evaluated in this criterion.
Convenience
Ease of portability, and protection during travel was used for the evaluation of this criterion.
Accessories
Cases, additional earpieces, and fitting accessories are used to determine the score for this feature.
Connectivity
This refers to the Bluetooth connectivity, both in the initial connection, and interference from connectivity during extended play.
Phone quality
The Skype call testing was used to determine phone call quality.
Noise isolation
The ability of the headset to eliminate the sound of a full stream of running water with music playing at a moderate level is used to determine noise isolation.
Secondary noise
The noise that one can hear from somebody else's headphones defines secondary noise. The less there is, the higher the score.
I hope that this helps in choosing a headset that works for you.
