comfortable, but not the perfect solution

It is certainly more comfortable to have this on. It is bearable and easy to clean. My biggest problem with this is that it covers the sensor telling the headset that it is still being worn when you are not wearing it. In this case, the headset does not go into its sleep state. You'll have to pull the pillow back from the sensor each time. I would prefer it to be modified to not interfere with the sensor. This annoyance and unnecessary activity of the headset when not in use (if you forget to pull the pillow from the sensor) prevents it from being the perfect solution. But it is certainly more comfortable and a good buy to be able to easily clean and reinstall. I would recommend it regardless.

Not nearly as puffy or comfortable as the pics would lead you to believe. It does, however, add a boosted comfort for extended sessions... Like a cheap mattress, it's better than the floor but you still get jealous of hotel beds.

Both iterations I tried had major flaws

I really wanted to like this eye pillow. I ordered one and when it arrived, it was non functional (would have been a 1 star review. It blocked the sensor so the rift always turned on, the velcro straps were way too large and thick). They sent me another iteration with improvements. It was much cushier than the first one, with some smaller straps and a thinner upper band to prevent blocking the sensor. However, it's still a no go. The problem with thick velcro like this is it's almost impossible to strap the pillow on and then slide the face rest thing back onto the headset. both the first and second versions were both not as plush as I wanted either. I purchased it hoping to give some extra depth to make glasses more comfortable. All in all, I would not recommend this pillow in either of the iterations I tried. The second was improved from the first, so maybe other versions further down the road will get to a usable state.

Professional Aftermarket Service + Awesome Products = Success

I want to thank the VR Elite gear team here.Very professional and awesome warranty service.
To be honest, I don't really like that eyepillow at the beginning when I first received the product because the materiel blocked my visibility and it also covered the sensor which caused the VR turns on all the time. Hence, I sent a message to seller to point out these issues and requested the refund. They replied my message very soon and mentioned they would send me an updated version for free which solved the above issue I mentioned. In this case, I chose to try it again. After a couple days, I was very impressive when I received the updated version. It does solve all the issue, and the visibility has the huge improvement compared with the previous version; The sensor is not blocked by eyepillow anymore. That is really an awesome Eyepillow. I high recommend to buy that version.
In the end, the seller mentions they are developing the memory foam version as a special option. It sounds great. I am looking forward that version comes to our life.

Overall a very good product. I have a somewhat large head and my Rift would dig into my temples after awhile. This lead to me frequently pausing whatever game I was playing and trying to readjust my Rift to be more comfortable, usually to no avail. With VR being all about immersion, feeling like you have to stop frequently to try to readjust your headset really almost defeats the purpose and isn't very fun.

The EyePillow has significantly increased the comfort of using my Rift. Strapping the EyePillow to the Rift is straightforward and only takes a moment to do. It has allowed me to get more enjoyment out of games like Elite Dangerous that are more suited to longer play sessions. I can now play a game comfortably for long enough to start to forget about the fact I'm wearing a headset and get lost in the game's world.

You'll either love it or hate it.

I ordered the grey one and it is terrible. The fit is terrible and does not work well at all. Basically, there are velcro straps used to secure the product to the faceband. However, due to the design, it basically leaves the faceband unsecured at the bottom, because the velcro is too thick to allow enough room to snap the faceband back into the oculus. The material is also nowhere near as thick as the pictures shown here.

To be fair, even though the material is thin, the product itself is quite comfy. I did use it for a week or two but ultimately wound up taking it off. This particular product is honestly a love it or hate it product and unfortunately I'm not a fan of it at all. I was able to live with the minor imperfections for a bit but ultimately this most certainly did not meet my expectations. :(

I ordered this unsure how it would be compared to if I bought the VR Cover, and honestly I am glad I made this purchase. The VR Cover may be worth buying face-plates from, but for an actual cover for the face plate this is the way to go. These are washable, and they do have a pillow like cushion to them that I was unsure if it would actually have. The only part that can be annoying is the nose area is also covered, but you can adjust the material with your fingers, and it does work well for blocking out the light coming from the nose gap. Overall Id happily give this 5 stars, I've worn it with every use of my Oculus since it arrived.

Nothing like the description or photos. It's like a folded handkerchief cut out to be a mask. Not sure what the other reviews are talking about.

Very bulky, just goes over your current facial interface.

It barely fits and bulks up the built in pad. For some reason I assumed it had it's own fame. I should have done more research.

Overpriced, but one of the better Rift accessories.

Expensive, but makes up for it by increasing the time I can wear my Oculus Rift comfortably. Does a great job keeping light from leaking in from around my nose.
