I enjoyed the evolution of the story, but never really understood what was going on. There was some excellent video footage of underwater scenes, but I felt like I was voyeur watching scenes unfold without really understanding what was happening. Even at the end. I wouldn't call it a waste of time and I'd be willing to watch again, but I don't really have any conviction that I will gain a greater comprehension, but it would still be worth revisiting some of the scenes again.
Different - thank goodness. Eerie, haunting. Empathy and compassion are universal, eternal, and no matter the circumstances or even the species, they can be awakened in an individual in such a way that that individual is motivated to do the better good.
This is a movie from human subconscious. :) Somebody's hidden fears and fantasies. The cinematography is good, but the story is unfinished. Some kind of medical madness. :) And it's not at all a thriller. Mor like a fantasy. Did not worth money.
First, there's no mention in the synopsis that this is a French movie with closed captions throughout. That was an immediate turn-off, but I enjoy reading books, so I stuck with it. Next, after reading screens and screens of pointless innuendo with very little action, I was left with paperdoll characters and no real conclusion. The scenes are beautiful, thus the 2-stars instead of 1.
