I tend to enjoy every Spongebob season, since I am a huge kid at heart. These later seasons seem to involve the side characters more than just Spongebob and Patrick, but it still works. There are a few new references to outside media that I was surprised to see. For example, in "Whirlybrains", Spongebob declares that he and Patrick have lost their minds, to which Patrick laughs maniacally and responds, "M-O-O-N, that spells moon!" This phrase comes directly from Stephen King's mini series, The Stand. The character Tom Cullen frequently says this, word for word.
I bought the season pass but am not too happy because there are only 9 episodes, some episodes from season 9 were released after season 10, and now I just bought from season eleven. Since season 10 seems to only have 9 episodes it really should have been cheaper or included part of season 9 or season 11 with it. I'm not going to give a bad review, but I'm not going to buy seasons anymore.
Okay people, it seems like a lot of you don't yet realize how technology works. First off, season 10 has just recently been launched, and not all episodes have been aired on nickelodeon. Once they air on nick, they are added to amazon. Its basically a preorder. Second, most of you that gave bad reviews complaining about this, have had amazon's helpful reply's. One I saw even had amazon bend over backwards for them, and they changed to a positive review. That is what the rest of you should be doing. Amazon has done nothing wrong and neither has nickelodeon, just because you preordered a season online, doesn't mean you get the episodes before the rest of the world. Fix your reviews.
Edit: this season(10) will consist of 11-1/2 hour episodes. Take that into consideration before you purchase. Nearly every season before this consisted of 26 episodes. As of right now there are 2-1/2 hour episodes to be released.
I don't understand why the first episode was released of season 10 before they finished adding to season 9. Don't buy this season until they're no longer releasing season 9 episodes. It's been a few months since we purchased season 10 and no new episodes have been issued, however three new episodes have been added to season 9 during that same time.
