Directions

Adults: 1-2 softgels daily. For additional support, the dose can be doubled. Children aged 12+: 1-2 softgels daily. Children aged 6-11: 1 softgel daily. For optimal absorption, take with food and divide the daily dose morning and evening. Consistent intake is recommended for optimal results. Do not exceed the maximum dose.

Only one bottle in nearly 30 I've purchased had less oil than normal and signs of being overheated as many capsules appeared melted together. I didn't bother returning it (I should have but was too busy) so I can't speak to their support, and until I find out otherwise - I greatly appreciate this EPA only option which isn't quite so expensive as a couple other EPA-only options.

My heart doctor recommended I try this type of fish oil. Although I like the product & will continue using it, I will find a different seller to purchase from. The bottle is impossible to open. This is not the first bottle I have purchased from this seller that has been impossible to open by 2 different people. It's like the bottle was sealed too tightly at the factory when it was being produced. My husband even tried to get the cap off of the bottle & ended up using needle nose pliers to puncture the lid. I ended up pouring the contents of the bottle into a small plastic container with a lid on it so I would have somewhere to put the pills. Good product overall though if you can manage to get the lid off the bottle.

To date, I've only found this product and one other. A lot of product will say EPA in the name, but when you read the ingredients you find they also have DHA

I have been using prescription Omega 3's for the past few years to control my triglycerides because they were out of control. The first prescription was for Lovaza, which contains a mix of EPA and DHA. It worked okay but DHA can raise your cholesterol level so I had to start taking atorvastatin in addition to the Lovaza. My doctor switched me to a newer brand (Vascepa) of Omega 3's that was pure EPA. This worked very well to control my triglycerides without raising my cholesterol. However, it is very expensive and I no longer have prescription drug coverage. So, I have been searching and searching for an affordable substitute since I have to take 4 Grams a day! I was extremely happy to find the Pure Essentials Ultra EPA, it is the closest thing to the Vascepa that I have been able to find and most importantly, can afford to buy. I have only been taking it for a few weeks but so far everything seems good. They are small so they are easy to swallow and I haven't gotten any nasty fish burps. I will update this once I have been taking it for a few months and get my triglycerides checked again.
