About this item
- 1m flexible test cable. Voltage: 1000V;Current:15A. Banana Plug: 4 mm. These banana plugs leads are stackable. You can plug more than one banana plug into the same banana socket. Kinda like "piggybacking" connections.
- The wire is decent thickness, the ends themselves feel rubberized and not hard slick plastic like some other types of cables you find. They are silicone test lead cables. Wires are very soft , very flexible, very nice to work with. Good test cables for your lab. Every electronic techie out there should have these cables.
- Sturdy Banana Plugs and the silicone insulation greatly enhance durability and flexibility of the leads that prevents the "memory" characteristic of plastic insulation after it has been rolled/wrapped for a period of time. Plugs fit well into other leads and tests sockets.
- These are useful little leads for all sorts of electrical and electronic work. Add this to your meter bag. when you need a third hand, or have to test many circuits sequentially, this is an absolute necessity. nice rubber insulation and the banana plugs mate easily with a regular bench power supply or a regular meter.
- These are good sturdy leads with thick wire. Good quality leads that work great for moderate to low current testing. These wire are good for up to 15 amps maximum. They are fine for basic electrical testing for things like automotive accessories, vintage cars, trucks and motorcycle, etc, as long as whatever you are testing uses a fuse of 15 amps or smaller.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2024Size: 3.3Ft/1MVerified PurchaseThese cables look and work exactly as you would expect them to. The banana plugs are sturdy and hold firmly in any 4mm jack you plug them into. Colors are just as bright and shiny as what you see in the representative picture.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2024Size: 9.8 Ft/3MVerified PurchaseThese are the best! If you do much with electronics or electrical, you know how much time can be wasted with unreliable test leads. These silicon test leads are very flexible, yet provide solid and reliable connections - while being reasonably priced. They are rated at 1000 V, which I assume is AC. I've used them in short-term, low-current tests at 2000 VDC with no problems. I haven't used them past their 15 Amp rating, and don't recommend doing so.
The 5 colors are very useful, although I'd like to have a 6th color, especially white.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2021Size: 3.3Ft/1MVerified PurchaseI bought three sets of these test leads. All leads have electrical continuity and register less than 0.1 Ohm end-to-end. The leads are about one meter (little over three feet) long and they’re all very close to the same length. I don’t know if the insulation is silicone, but the insulation is very flexible at room temperature. Something to keep in mind is to pay attention to safety when using these leads. The metal part of the banana plugs is exposed, so be careful not to leave the leads energized when not plugged into equipment. The plastic on the banana plug is tapered, so the plugs will sit flush in equipment with recessed terminals - a good feature. See the attached photo of these leads plugged into a venerable Fluke 8060A. The plugs stack easily thanks the wire offset in the molded plastic. Some metal is exposed when stacking; see photo.
These test leads are handy, well made, and I will buy them again when I need more test leads.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2018Size: 3.3Ft/1MVerified PurchaseCable has the feel of a high quality test lead. Plug tolerance is iffy; some are looser/tighter than others. However, it does not seem to have any effect on conductivity. Did not receive any bad leads but I have before on similar products. I just replaced the bad ones and never had a problem with the rest.
*small rant* people leaving 1 star reviews because they associate a few bad cables as something that equates to unreliability are ridiculous. I would think people buying this product are at least somewhat scientific minded. There is very little correlation between poor QC and product reliability. Even big name $100k test equipment comes in bad on occasion; sometimes even with a high rate of failures. Just because somebody catches it early before it makes it to the customer does't make their product more reliable. It only means you never find out about it. The key here is whether the construction of these cables are good or bad. So far nobody dropping 1 star reviews has bother to cut open their supposedly untrustworthy cables to see if it has proper quality construction. Additionally there is a myriad of tests that can be performed; likely the same ones a manufacturer would use to certify their product. That's the only real way to tell if its just a defect or poorly made.
In case you're wondering I stress test my cables with high voltage (240v) at 10A for 30min; perform a frequency sweep; and a resistance test. This tells me all I need to know for my own use case.
